OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Soap Dispensing Sponge Holder - Clear, One Size

I found a few different options for this type of device, but chose OXO because I've always had good luck with this brand. This device is such a simple concept that it has me wondering why it took so long for someone to think of it. It dispenses the perfect amount of dish soap to wash a few dishes or clean countertops, etc. with a single pump. You rinsed sponge is then suspended on a perforated tray with adequate air circulation to keep it fresher longer.Pros:---This unit will pay for itself by dispensing more controlled amounts of dish soap---Easy to set up---Easy to use---Air circulation allows the sponge to dry vs sitting on a solid surface creating and harboring excess bacteria---Takes up little counter space---Unit is attractive---I also use it with a dishcloth or paper towels to dispense small amounts of soap for certain jobs such as cleaning animal bowls, floor spills and such---Unit uses a dime sized squirt of soap vs. free flow pour. Big $$$$ savings.Cons:---Initial investment might seem a bit pricey, but considering the quality, convenience and long term cost savings, it's totally worth it.

About 15 months ago I purchased a new soap pump with hose that uses soap jug as reservior. Had a plastic bottle attached under sink and was not happy with the mess that would inevitably happen when refilling. Then IT quit working. Bought replacement hose, but the soap only pumped up to within 2 inches of the soap pump itself. Plumber tried.. to no avail. I found this while searching for replacement. Now I don't have to worry about spilled soap, replacing parts, etc. Just put dish soap in soap holding base, and 3 pumps and out came soap. The bumpy surface of the sponge holder, with holes for drainage, helps let the sponge dry out. Great little dispenser and looks very nice on the counter. Handy and attractive for the WIN!

It's easy to see the soap level at the bottom, so you always know when it’s time to refill. Comes apart easily for thorough cleaning. It's functional and stylish. I paired it with a small silicone soap tray which keeps everything clean.

I really like the concept of this sponge and soap holder.Pros: no more large bottle of soap on the sink, takes 2 to 3 steps and reduces them to 1--sponge and soap at the ready, and it's a pretty cool design.Cons: can get gunky pretty quickly.Bottom line, the design isn't perfect but this is a helpful item, and I would definitely buy it again.

Such a cool little contraption. It makes washing dishes a "one step action" - just push down and begin washing which I LOVE. There’s just something so nice about just picking up the sponge and scrubbing - no need to grab soap bottles or hold a wet sponge under a finicky sensor. I’ve had guests help out with the dishes and comment on how awesome this thing is. Plus the saved counter space since sponge holder and dish soap are combined. Sponge dries very quickly and the encased drain catches the water which eventually evaporates (with the extra bonus benefit of never having to clean the internal drain since it’s not visible and the sponge & soap don’t actually touch it).Literally the only upkeep required is a quick wipe down every once in a while to keep it looking super elegant on the counter. I find this way more user friendly than fancy automatic dispensers without the extra worry of having to buy compatible refills (I’m looking at you simplehuman).A simple yet absolutely seamless, fantastic design.

It works as intended and looks attractive in my kitchen. It’s easy to refill. I do take the top off and clean under the grate at least once a month to keep it from getting gross.
