JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Set 5: Diamond Is Unbreakable Part 2 Limited Edition (BD) [Blu-ray]

The box like always is beautiful, as is the inside of the box. I also love how each disc is completely covered in vibrant colors of different characters (like always). I do miss the art cards that were present in the previous arcs, but otherwise I’m happy. You do get what you pay for. I own quite a few different anime shows on BD and they’re never cheap, pretty close in price to JoJo but they’re never the quality of JoJo sets. Even without the art cards there’s still a lot of fan service with the animation booklet inside.Onto the actual show: The DiU arc (Part 4 & 5) imo is one of the best the show has to offer. It’s great from the start and Josuke is a very unique character compared to previous protagonists, and one of my favorite if not my favorite (tied with Jotaro). The show itself is also unique in that it takes place in one town and not across the globe. It all feels really fresh, I could watch it again after just finishing it. If you’ve ever liked JoJo, it’s a must buy. If you’re on the fence because you loved Stardust Crusaders and this looks totally different, I promise you won’t be disappointed; just approach it with an open mind. It takes a few episodes for the story to develop, but the overall plot and character development is phenomenal.

With this set Diamond Is Unbreakable comes to an end and so apparently does this packaging style, but times change and so does Jojo so I really don’t mind. This is what I’d consider to be the stronger set of the part. I’m not big on slice of life stories, but to each their own. It’s Jojo and I’ll praise and love it even when I think it’s just ok and yes that’s the sign of a sheep, but maybe it’s really just the work of an enemy stand.

Have to make this a 3-star review.The first three sets of this series were excellent, but set 4 began the disappointment with the removal of the character cards I and many others enjoyed.Set 5 continues the trend of not including character cards, but the price is still higher than the older sets. Really kinda lame on Viz Media's part.

Watched this subbed weekly when it was airing, then purchased this and loved it more because of the English dub.

This review is practically universal for any of the limited edition blu-rays minus the Part 5 blu-rays which, in my opinion, dropped the ball hard on account of their changing of the case and the abandonment of the key animation book in favor of a flimsy episode summary book. As for this product itself and every limited edition set before it, this product is truly amazing. Although a little pricey at $70 USD, this product and its accompanying sets go on sale quite frequently which makes them a bit easier to collect. Sets 1-3 come with the blu-rays, a book containing specific drawn frames from each episode with a summary from the director on how the episode came to be as well as various bits of trivia, and art cards. Sets 4 and 5 opt to ditch the art cards but maintain the key animation book. There are also on-disc extras such as clean openings and closings for each Part as well as interviews on some discs from the dub voice actors. The sets all come in these sleek, black, chipboard cases that look good on any shelf and the anime itself has been put in a stunning 1080p that is sure to please any fan of the series as well as corrections to the animation overall and uncensoring of scenes that had to be censored for the TV run.

Absolutely worth the next day shipping I paid to get this in 9 hours after purchasing. I have Sets 1-5 and this is a must have for all JJBA fans. Watched it 3 times in a row legit. But the firmness of the spine of the main box seems a bit less firm, after looking at all the box’s from set 1 to 5, each box I feel like has been going down one notch from the great quality in set 1. Set 1 being a ten on a quality scale, but now 5 seems a bit “thrown together”, as far at the firmness of the spine Upon opening and closing feels loose. But other than the lack of the art cards in set 4&5 still a great box set. 5/5 !

Worth Every Penny as Always.

To me this is the best series in the Jojo anime series and the blu ray really makes it look so much better than streaming the series. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is one of the best Manga and anime adaptations out there and looking forward to Stone Ocean.

I brought this for my son for Christmas, we tried to watch it last night and it won’t play on UK! Very annoying!

I wrote a review for the first part of the show, and this almost completely matches up in quality. This collection comes with an awesome box along with an artbook of animation cells. (As well with comments from the director on each episode.) It's well worth it if you're a Jojo fan!

Updated and fixed animation for certain scenes, plus polished OPs! The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars, is the subtitles. The font is blocky and not very visually appealing, but readable and fine. Plus it just uses the subtitles for the dub instead of the official translations, which is unfortunate for such a quotable show. Regardless, worth the purchase and will complete the rest of my set ASAP!

Ik heb deze dvd’s op 21 september 2021 voor de verjaardag van mijn zoon besteld. Hij is vandaag jarig 26 oktober 2021. Dolblij was hij toen hij de dvd’s uitpakte. Echter toen we ze in de dvd-speler stopte werkte de dvd’s niet omdat deze niet in regio NL kunnen worden afgespeeld. DRAMA!!! Omdat het langer dan 30 dagen geleden besteld is, kan ik het niet meer retourneren en ik kan ook de verkoper niet contacten 😬! Ik heb set 4 & 5 besteld; bij elkaar bijna zo’n €80 lichter en een verdrietig kind!!!

Muy rápido el envío y llego em excelente estado, estaba algo preocupada de que llegará mal pero Amazon nunca falla. Excelente anime, pero me hubiera gustado que trajera las tarjetitas como en las anteriores ediciones pero bueno, de igual modo esta muy bien :3
