Pentel Arts Pointliner Drawing Pen, 0.1mm, Black Ink, Box of 12 Pens (S20P-1A)

Up until recently, I'd been using a refillable pen for my fine-line drawing needs, but it seemed to dry out a lot. I decided to try these for the price. Honestly, I like them better. They work better, longer and without the hassle.

I'm sort of a pen person. I use a pen for work and at home a lot. This pen is one of my favorites and I use it everyday. Thank you, Amazon, for a great product.

I use them for Zen Tangles and drawing on acrylic paint. The ink needs to dry for about 12 hours on the acrylic and it will erase (mostly) even after that. I had to go over my original lines after I finished the painting.They work great for Zen Tangles.

I use the 0.05 and 0.1 for super small spaces! These are amazing and so happy to find a pen with this small of a point!

Excellent fine line pen. Not a ball point pen . The ink doesn't smear. Good for general writing and drawing.

These are not as good (smooth, easy) as the Pigma Micron pens, but almost. Therefore, they are a great choice for a class of kids, who tend to push too hard.

When using a Micron, I have to hold it upright so the ink contacts the paper. With this pen, I can hold it at a comfortable angle and it writes beautifully! It’s so smooth! Love these pens. New fav.

I've been on a quest to find pens thin enough to add furigana to manga. I got this thinking it would be a dupe for Pigma Micron 005, but it absolutely is not. When making long strokes or writing large letters, there isn't much difference. But when writing very small, the Pentel seems to "bleed" more and creates bolder lines. I might still keep these for art purposes, but I'll be using the Micron 003 for furigana.

I do not believe that I used the pen very often before it had run out of ink. Initially I purchased the pens for drawing purposes, but I did get around to using it for that purpose. After using it to write one five legal page letter and a few bookkeeping notes, the ink ran out. It may cost a little more, but I believe that next time I will go back to using an artists drawing pen. The ink is permanent, it lasts longer, and it does not smug. Just an observation. Buyer be cautious.

I received my package of 12 pens within a few days. These pens are the least expensive of their kind on Amazon, and their performance is excellent for writing and illustrations. I have a firm grip and tend to apply pressure while using pens, so I need ones that are resistant to wear while maintaining a fine line for my smaller than average handwriting yet offering enough resistance to maintained a defined edge.Compared to the unipin fine line 0.1, which had been my go-to fine liner for nearly a decade, I would say the line is about 0.05mm thicker and resistance 50% lower (meaning the flow of the pen on paper is quite smooth), which is not the end of the world for me, but it is something to consider if you are buying these for a specific illustration use.I have yet to test for longevity, but the flow of ink out of the box suggests these pens will last longer than the unipins, the nubs of which would wear out on me after about 15-20 pages of writing. I think the lower resistance will ultimately encourage me to apply less pressure when writing. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and expect to have enough pens for a year.
