I needed to purchase a new barcode reader for my library because the time line in getting one via official routes was going to take too long. Very pleased with the affordability of this one, and I have had zero issues with it. I plugged it in and it worked from day one on both my barcodes and isbn barcodes.

For the price, this little scanner works just fine.She isn’t the smartest girl at the picnic, but you’ll get the job done and at a low price. I wouldn’t recommend it for heavy duty use, or mission critical jobs, but it has been working OK for me.

Confirmed it works plug and play easily for Mac OS X and windows 10. I have used this in excel and google sheets, both took the input just fine. Easy plug and play.

This was a good purchase to scan books and computers for school. This worked well. I will find other uses for it at home. Good purchase.

This product is very easy to use and works well. For most situations, I think it would work perfectly. I happen to have purchased a more expensive scanner earlier, however, and my knowledge of it illuminates where this product is lacking. Specifically, the manuals for two products are markedly different. The more expensive product features a 40-page booklet compared to this product's tri-fold manual (6 "pages"). The former is cordless, but that hardly accounts for the difference in manual lengths. For example, this product has two volume settings (i.e., "Turn On The Voice" and "Turn Sound Off"), compared to four (i.e., low, medium, high, and "Beep-Off"). Furthermore, the former includes actual instructions, whereas this product's manual only presents barcodes with minimal descriptions.
