Motion Sensor Light Bulb with Dusk to Dawn, E26 Base, 7W LED(60W Equivalent), Cool White(6000K), Motion Sensitivity, Time and Twilight Setting Adjustable

The installation is simple--just screw it into a medium-based lightbulb socket. When I first installed it to test it, it gave no sign of life, so I unscrewed the bulb to check the socket to make sure it had power. And then I reinstalled the lightbulb. And waited a few seconds. No sign of life. I repeated this several times, with no success. I decided to reread the manual a bit more carefully in several languages before looking for return instructions. The English manual said to wait for 30 seconds or longer for the sensors to be calibrated for the environment before they start working. So, I installed it in the basement and left. After a few minutes, I came down to the basement, and voila, it came on as advertised to work! So, it turned out that I didn't give the sensor enough calibration time. Rereading the instructions, the calibration period varied depending on the language--English instructions, 30 seconds; German and Japanese, 5 seconds; Spanish, French, Italian, and Chinese, 10 seconds. Clearly, Germans and Japanese would give up on this in just a few seconds. The actual calibration time for these units might have been much longer than 30 seconds. So, before returning this unit, you should try to give it ample calibration time. In any case, it is installed on the porch and seems to be working properly.

I sure like these motion, sensing light bulbs.You can adjust them to come on only at night or anytime you enter the room during the daytime perfect for rooms in your house that are dimly even during the day or you can set them to come out only when it’s dark in the room when you enter it at night. No need to fumble for light switches to turn it on. it comes on when you walk in the room just set the sensitivity and detection level so it will know you’re there. I purchased about 15 of those bulbs put them in almost every light in the house. WhenI walk in the room at night. I don’t have to fumble for a light switch in the dark. The lights come on automatically when you approach the light fixture. A must have.

Wanted a way to light my garage automatically. Light kept getting left on by others. Used a PIR motion sensor for this purpose for years but in the Texas heat with the additional heat of cars parked in the garage, PIR motion sensors become a lot less sensitive and unreliable. So I was excited to learn about radar motion sensing technology. Tried it in another much more expensive light but it failed to automatically turn off as advertised. Found out later that it was reading movement thru the walls in adjacent rooms so I figured well back to how it was before. But when I found this bulb which BTW is the only light with radar motion sensing technology I could find that ALSO allows you to adjust ALL settings including the radar motion sensing range, ambient light sensitivity, and time duration I figured that I finally found the solution and yes it works as expected for the most part. I did have to spend about 45 minutes tweaking the radar motion sensitivity setting for my particular situation...made sure it was not reading movement thru walls next to my garage, which is attached to my house. At first, by default the range was turned all the way up but I turned it down and the light stays off regardless of activity in nearby rooms now. The radar motion sensing sensitivity setting should be a must for all lights using this technology. I cannot imagine the number of disappointed customers there is when the radar motion sensing feature is too sensitive and no way to adjust it...also not sure what the other manufacturers / electrical designers are thinking with leaving that feature out, even the early first generations of outdoor motion sensing lights had sensitivity adjust options for motion. This radar motion sensing technology is very new to the home consumer electronics market and I am really surprised that feature does not seem to be even requested by many reviewers on similar competing products. Regardless this company did right by finding a way to bring that feature to market at an affordable price point. -Update After having this for a few weeks I am unfortunately returning it. I have NOT lost faith in this product, it just does not work good enough for my situation/environment. The light will detect motion for when me and my wife when entering the garage but NOT our small children who are still afraid of the dark. Perhaps our minivan blocks the radar motion sensor's ability to detect movement at a lower height even though the bulb is centered over the minivan. Also, I noticed that the light does not consistently turn on when my wife or I enter the garage, not sure what is going on there. At first, I thought it was the ambient light senor deactivating the bulb for when the garage entry door opened and flooded the garage with light from the inside of the house but I adjusted the light senor to turn on even in conditions with a lot of light and still had the same issue. So, back to how it was before until I can find a reliable solution yet again.

I bought a pair of these a few weeks ago to use on my deck and my outside garage light. They worked great with amazing sensitivity to movement at a very reasonable distance. In fact, my next door neighbor asked me where I got them, because he had seen the one at my garage come on whenever he passed to enter his driveway. Wanting some more to put in my stairwell, I tried another brand that sounded good and cost less.....big mistake! So, I returned them and reordered from Elrigs, and I am glad I did. These work just as well as the first order. Putting the new ones in my stairwell didn't produce exactly the results I wanted. It's a squared off U shape. Going downstairs, the bulb at the upper landing picks up the movement even before I reach the head of the stairs. The one at the lower landing does not pick up movement until I almost reach it. That seems to happen, because I am coming up from a lower level, putting me below the bulb. I do not believe that is an issue with the bulb and have come up with a work around. If I need anymore, I will buy these again. UPDATE: One of my bulbs failed in about 8 months, so I contacted the Seller. There was no hassle at all, and I now have a new bulb that is working very well. That's customer service!

These bulbs are decent, but it really depends on where you intend to install them. For the most part they work as you would expect, except for the motion detection being unreliable. There are times it detects me walking up to it very quickly, other times when I can walk all the way up to it before it comes on, and sometimes I have to wave my hand in front of the bulb. The other issue related to the motion detection (which is honestly by design but should be considered before buying) is that since it uses technology that senses motion through walls, it causes my front porch light to come on fairly often if I'm in my livingroom, which is on the other side of the wall from where it is mounted. I did try reducing the motion sensitivity to compensate but the bulb was already unreliable enough at full sensitivity that I didn't want to do that either. If they could design some type of shield that could be attached to the side of the sensor facing a wall to prevent detection from a certain direction it would be more viable for a front door or backyard light. I also installed these at the front of my garage and for that location it works perfectly fine (detects cars pulling up) and since it is a low traffic area there are no false positives for the motion detection. If you're looking to add night-time motion detection to a front patio or back door I would suggest researching and buying a proper light fixture instead.

These bulbs are advertised that they will monitor for motion and have the capacity for adjustment to allow for a distance of motion sensitivity, time interval the light remains 'on' after motion is detected and the intensity of ambient light when the motion sensitivity becomes active. There are actually adjustment calipers built into the base of the bulb that indicates these parameters. I purchased four (4) of these bulbs and NONE of the adjustments do "diddly-squat"!! At any given setting the bulb may or may not react as adjusted. Also even if the motion causes the bulb to illuminate, when the 'timer-off' setting causes the bulb to turn off then the next motion may or may not cause the bulb to illuminate. Usually if the bulb is actually touched it 'may' illuminate but even that is NOT to be counted on.. I tried these bulbs in ceiling fixtures, in floor lamps, in bedside lamps and in porch light fixtures...dependability on any given setting was almost laughable . A COMPLETE waste of money and time. I now am using the motion sensing LED "Zebon-sensor bulbs" (X001T7HV6P) they do NOT have any adjustments but reliably illuminate for about 30 seconds (or longer if motion persists) in response to motion once they are in dim-to-dark conditions.

This bulb works great, the motion detection works even from inside an outdoor fixture with glass sides. The motion sensitivity is adjustable as is the brightness of the bulb and the length of time it stays on. It stays off in the daytime even if it is on a porch with a roof over it and it is a cloudy day. We have much less bugs flying around our back door at night with this light because it only is on for long enough for us to get out of the car and come in. It also comes on when we open the door to go out. Our old light was on all night and attracted lots of bugs. This is the first motion detection light that we have used that works correctly in this location by our back door and it converts a standard porch lamp into a motion detection lamp without needing to replace the whole fixture.

Its been a while since I bought these and I thought to myself the other day. Will these light bulbs ever stop working. I have these puppies outdoor and they dont miss a beat. I love that you can adjust the sensitivity.

I was pleasantly surprised with these bulbs. They are very easy to set and continued to work during a Montreal cold winter. Adjusting the motion detection is a trial and error (especially if you have a tree in front of the house and its windy)

It's a good bulb and save me time and $ to change the light pole outside of frontdoor. Before install, remember to adjust the sensor distance.

Works great in a glass enclosed outdoor light fixture on the garage. Bright enough without glare. Used this over garage doors then the motion bulb at the front door. Very happy with the combo.

stopped working after 2 1/2 months. Was difficult to get it set up properly. kept coming on with movement INSIDE the house. Was erratic when it was working. Do not purchase because others have had it failed after several months of use. I wish I could get my money back.

bulbs work great but one was defective so I will order another pack. vendor was kind enough to credit me the full amount.
