Cherry Storm - No. 17 (Dark Edition) - Espresso Coffee Beans - 500g - 100% Arabica

I enjoy this coffee as it has a strong flavour and sent. A very enjoyable brew

Good all rounder, good depth and strength, a little bitterness, rounded out with a slight sweet and acidic kick. Nothing too harsh, nice morning brew. Looses a star because premium coffee should have a roasted date

This Cherry Storm coffee is an absolute all time favourite in my house. I buy the 500g bags and its always nice and fresh, makes a brilliant manually pulled espresso. I combine it with my Sage Barista Express, a WDT tool and a puck screen. Its bold, strong, but also very flavourful with a pleasant acidity and some nice chocolatey/cherry undertones.

I've been drinking this for the last month or so, and have now consumed the 1kg of coffee via an espresso machine (Italian stove top highly recommended). The coffee is very smooth, aromatic with a nice nutty hint. Having had an average of 5 cups of coffee a day I can say it is on par with the best coffees I've had over the years. Though this is the limited edition of the original.it has been of excellent quality and worth the purchase.

Nothing necessarily bad about the coffee. We bought it due to it being a local roaster near to us and believed it to be a superior quality to larger roasters. We paid over double what we usually would for a kilo of beans and were excited to try it in our new bean to cup machine (delonghi primadonna elite)If anything we were disappointed and expected more from it. We couldn't tell any difference in quality from other coffees we have had which are less than half the price.Probably won't buy again

After the first cup, I wasn’t really impressed. It didn’t taste bad, it rather just didn’t taste much of anything.However, after a bit of experimentation I found the sweet spot.Using an AeroPress, I use a grind that’s just shy of espresso coarseness and brew for roughly three-and-a-half minutes. The ‘inverted method’ is key here.After I’d done this (with other beans, I’d used a coarser grind and brewed for a shorter duration), the flavour of this blend really comes to the fore. It’s not the best coffee I’ve ever had, but for the price it’s really good value.Note: as of 29/12/2020, the packet is 1kg and not 2x500g as packs as noted by other reviewers. Also unable to see a roast date, but there’s a BBE which is Dec 2021 - so I’d infer from that that it was roasted this month and the BBE is a rolling 12 months when they bag it up. I have absolutely no evidence of that, but it seems like a logical conclusion.All in all, for the price, it’s recommended. If you pay double, you’ll get a better blend - but that’s true of practically anything!

I like a nice dark, strong full bodied coffee and this ticks every box
