Excellent Small Carabiner
If you're looking for a small, lightweight, screw locking biner, this is one of the best. There are a few others, like the Petzl Attache that are as good or better in some respects, but not at this price point. The value really can't be beat. A handful of these along with a couple of other types for variety would be an excellent choice for a small/lightweight set - and without stretching the budget.Beyond any climbing usages (for which this size will have it limitations), it's a handy size for backpacking and camping uses for all kinds of things. I see people using the cheap steel and aluminum crap from the big box home stores for this. For the price of the Mad Rocks, that's crazy. If you are in the camping and backpacking use category and need a smaller biner, do yourself a favor any buy these. (In the small range for climbing. Excellent utility size for other purposes.)Excellent product.

Great for a reliable keychain clip
I use this for a key chain attachment to keep my keys secure. I started doing this about 2 years ago with an inexpensive aluminum carabiner that was made to only hold keys. After the spring started to weaken, the clip dis not secure well enough to hold my keys on. So, I knee it was time for an upgrade. I always hated reading the statement stamped into the side if the carabiner key chain, "NOT FOR CLIMBING." When I started shopping for a new carabiner in knew that I wanted it to be a genuine carabiner that I could use to climb with if needed ( you never know when your going to find yourself in a situation where a carabiner is necessary). After reading reviews and comparing prices, I decided that the Mad Rock met all of my needs and was affordable. So far this carabiner has worked great for my intended purpose and thankfully I have not needed it for any emergency climbing situations yet.

Worth the money
We ran into issues too many times with our dogs getting off their tie out, so I came on here to find something that I could trust. I was hesitant to spend nearly $11 on something small like this, but we had a close call with one of our dogs nearly getting hit by a car, so I was desperate for something we would not have to worry about.I bought this in December of 2018. It is now February of 2021 and it's still in fantastic condition. It looks beat up of course because it's used daily, but the gate and twist mechanisms still work like the day we got it. We have never had it fail or had any worry of it not working as expected.Safe puppers and happy customer!

Bought for keys, too big
I bought this for my wife to put her keys on. There are many reviews saying this is a good size for keys; I disagree. This is still a large carabiner despite the reports of a small size. It probably works great for climbing (as it was designed for) but not as a key holder, unless you have VERY big pockets. Please keep in mind that I am using this for a purpose that it was not designed for but I thought anyone ordering this for use with their keys should be warned.

Love
Great biner, but the diameter was wrong for my use (bought for use with dog leash, but the carabiner is too big and does NOT fit through a ruffwear harness' aluminum attachment point). It also arrived later than expected, but I suppose that was less of an issue since it wasn't the right fit anyway. I wish they would publish the full specs including all diameters (especially since elbow at the basket is wider). So hard to find a strong/rated carabiner that can be used with my dog's favorite harness. I was tempted to keep it just because I really like this binder, but I am probably better off just continuing my search!

All sorts of uses ...
I've bought about five of these things. I clip them to backpacks and carry on luggage. All sorts of ways they are useful. When I travel in the 3rd world, for example, and I'm afraid of someone sprinting by someplace where I'm sitting enjoying a latte in a street cafe and grabbing something I'm carrying, I use the carabiner to temporarily clip two bags together, or clip one bag to the base of my chair. If someone tried to grab one of them and run off and found that he actually had two and they were going to be hard to run with, or that he'd have to run with a chair attached to it, I assume he/she would drop the mess and I'd have saved myself some major aggravation. When I'm done with my latte, I unhook the two items and off I go.

It's ok
Bought one of these to try as a cheaper alternative to the Petzl Spirit. It looked good on paper, and functions ok. But in a side-by-side comparison this one is rougher, slightly heavier, and the gate doesn't open as far. It's ok, but I won't buy more.

Using on a keychain
This is a great Carabiner. I love the screw lock keeps my keys 100% safe. It is a little large for keychain use, but this is a real carabiner not a cheap miniaturized keychain clone. If you are looking for a compact model for a keychain you may want to look elsewhere. While it is on the large size it is no longer than my car key so it is in the realm of manageable in the pocket. I tend to wear jeans a lot so they fit in my pocket well and can also clamp to a belt loop if I need them to stay secure during activity. If you are big on keychain addons, this has enough room to support a lot. It has a nice look too. I kinda like the fist grip I can use on the back of the carabiner in my pocket to pull out my keys.
