Acoustic Guitar Pick Guard for Most Martin - Deep Black

First off this pickguard is not meant for my guitar and the fit was off, but for me it was close enough. As of writing this review the pickguard has been on the acoustic for almost 3 years and it's held on great. When I installed it the adhesion did need some heat to make it stick onto the acoustic. Some reviewers state that this pickguard is thicker and softer then other pickguards which is accurate and does mildly effect the tone however it has protected the acoustic from scratches and looks way better then most other pickguards in person. The tone issue isn't noticable if you're using effects out of something like a Tonewood amp or HyVibe preamp however most players probably aren't using these but for me the pickguard has worked great and like great. I just really wish it would've fit better onto my acoustic but when you're playing a fanned fretted extended range acoustic you really just learn to make do with things not designed for your instrument.

This is the second pickguard I bought from this company. I had gotten a couple of the flimsy ones elsewhere before. When I pulled the first one out of the package, it had a different feel than what I had been used to, almost like there was gel in it. This thing was thick. Once I had it on the guitar, I noticed how smooth it felt on my fingertips. Whatever material they use on these things is made to last. I am just as happy with this second one as I was with the first. As a player for over 20 years, I highly recommend Vencetmat as a durable and beautiful pickguard!

Instalado se ve exactamente igual que en las imágenes del artículo. Esta bien hecho y con material de buena calidad. Es translúcido. Se ve bonito y llamativo, aunque pienso que resulta un poco grueso para su función. Me parece apreciar que apaga un poco el brillo del sonido de la guitarra, probablemente por ser tan grueso, pero tal vez sean ideas mías. Sin embargo, podría ser buena idea reducir un poco su espesor de fábrica. A pesar de que esta bien hecho, encaja bien en un cuerpo de guitarra acústica promedio (la mía es dreadnought), y que luce bien, al ser tan grueso y por las características del propio material, tiene una apariencia similar a la del caramelo derretido, que puede que algunos les llegue a agradar bastante. Yo termine remplazándolo a los días por otro tipo de golpeador más cercado a mi gusto. Depende del gusto de quien lo vaya a usar, puede ser una compra bastante recomendada.

Kinda rubbery, but it is functional and nicely finished. I'm sure over time I'll get over the feeling I slapped a piece of latex on my beloved guitar. I will add that it looks really right. Nice color,( coffee). I'll buy a resin pick guard next time. I have 2 that are resin and prefer them.

This is a pliable vinyl not hard plastic. It is like a cushion. Also, not a swirled plastic but an image of swirled plastic. Looks very cheap. I sent it back

I was skeptical after reading the reviews, especially where it was soft. I odered “genuine” Martin pick guards from a competitor, and they weren’t even close, they did take them back and refunded. I ordered this one and I love it, look at the fit in the pictures. Once it’s glued down the softness isn’t as announced, it doesn’t bother me at all. Played it for a couple weeks now, no marks at all.

Great shape. Fit well. Great protection. Just a little thicker than I would have liked. I knew what I was getting into because others said it was thick. Good overall.

Hab es ausgepackt, mich geärgert und es wieder zurück geschickt :-(Leider hat das Guard eine absolut mangelnder Qualität - im Klartext es ist Müll und 0-Sterne wären die richtige Bewertung.Das Guard kam verbogen und hatte einen Knick an der Spitze.Das mag vom Transport kommen, aber es sieht so aus, als wurde es so schon verpackt und ich hab eine Retoure bekommen.Zudem waren viele Blasen auf der Oberfläche und die kommen von der mangelnden Qualität!Woher hier auch nur eine gute Bewertung kommen kann, ist mir schleierhaft.Kann ich leider nicht empfehlen.

This fit my Mexican Martin perfectly. I was afraid thick pickguard would not properly adhere to the unvarnished top of the guitar but it snapped on like a magnet. I am very pleased and recommend this product.

perfect fit on my seagull. Very nice quality with beveled edges which makes all the difference.
