10/10 quality, very heavy, %100 worth the buy

I got an expensive mic and was afraid my cheap tripod stand would get bumped and fall over. I found this stand after a long search and did not want to waste money on a stand with plastic fittings that wouldn't last. This stand is very solid and quite large. The base is more than heavy enough to keep this from tipping over. It takes up a little more space depth wise but this thing is solid and will be around 20 years from now.

Had to return it the base did not fit properly and would not tighten fully and had a wobble in it so I exchanged it for another one. Very disappointing.

Extremely solid and well-built stand. Make note of the measurements of the stand: It has a much larger footprint than a standard (non-boom) stand, which is what gives it excellent stability. It is truly massive. When installing the mic holder or cage for the first time, pay attention to the top-most collar: It might not be immediately clear that there is a narrower telescoping extension. You need to make sure you are gripping that extension when tightening the holder or cage.

It's an excellent stand. Very well made and sturdy. The description says the base is 17 lbs, but the box says it's 16. Either way it's heavy enough to support my condenser mic -- a Neumann TLM 103 with a suspension mount. Like many other musical stand products I have purchased -- both cheap and expensive -- the knobs on this pricey mic stand are plastic. The shaft with threads is metal. But the knob itself is plastic. The knobs are the points that get the most use and, being plastic, will eventually dry out and crack. It's not like a knob on a guitar or amp that just gets moved to a particular setting. Mic stand knobs get twisted hard to apply pressure so that the position of the stand does not move. The plastic does appear to be harder and more solid than what I have seen on cheaper stands. Still, at this price, for such a nice stand, plastic knobs seem inappropriate.

Way more stable, same footprint (though base pole is taller), and less droop (no droop) than my similarly priced H&M. It is heavy, so, for some people, it may not be best for gigging, but it’s perfect for studio and home use. The tray that can be purchased as an accessory is also very useful.

The Unit itself is everything I was looking for - Heavy weight and very long boom. The package however was received in terrible shape and fortunately resulted only in some superficial damage. Not enough to returned. I also agree with one reviewer that adjustment nob should have been metal instead of plastic. The unit however overall is Very good quality.

If you want quality mic stands with telescoping booms built to last, these are the type to buy....well worth the money

I wanted a strong, stable stand but don't have enough space for the large overhang stands on wheels. This si perfect, holds a LDC mic, shockmount and Aston Halo. Awesome stand.

Good for a cheap stand but threads on the base are too loose for the stand and it will.not tighten properly. This is too bad because the rest of the stand is great.

I purchased this item for use as a camcorder stand. It’s base weight provides perfect stability and the extending arm enables me to position my camcorder exactly where I need it. A perfect addition to my studio.

Very sturdy base which I was impressed with so I thought it would easily support my mic a Rode NT1A. However the boom arm needed to be tightened heavily for it to support the Rode NT1A microphone (I don't hold much hope for it to support my Blue Yeti). Also feel that the base could do with being able to be locked in place at the bottom of the upright to stop it twisting during height adjustment.
