excellent product
This was very easy to install and worked flawlessly. I especially like the fact that the threads are pre-coated with sealant. Well worth the price!

Had to bend some lines, but works like new.
This is not exactly like the one it replaced, even though the model number aligned. I was able to bend the lines to make it work. Look closely.

Craftsman 25 Gallon Air Compressor Replacement - Fits and Works
This part fits perfectly on the Craftsman Model # 919.167784. Check valve was leaking by, not releiving the pressor from the discharge head of the compressor to allow the compressor to start after depleting the tank. Craftsman no longer sales this part. Buy one if you need one!

Fits, kind of
Received it sooner than expected which is a good thing. It looked the same and fit into the tank fine. Issue was putting in the supply tube from the compressor. The feeder tube from the compressor went into the original valve about 1”. It only went into this replacement valve about 3/8” before it stopped cold. This valve had a lip preventing the tube going any farther. Had to shorten the tube to get the threads to engage enough to make a good connection. So not a direct replacement as I hoped. I guess it’s kind of compatible with my 919.165230 unit.

Good Craftsman Part and Install tip
The supplier was responsive in shipping item in a timely manner. The part is a replacement for the original that was installed in my compressor. READ THE INSTALL INSTRuCTIONS. I didn't and installation was more challenging than necessary. The part was changed after my original purchase of the compressor. The opening into the check valve for the tube no longer inserts deep into the check valve. The tube must be cut at the top of the compressor valve and a new compression fitting installed. Simply pay attention to determine of your unit's tube will insert into the top fo the check valve and you will have no problem. The note was in the package for the check valve. I didn't read it.

Repaired an Old Craftsman Air Compressor
My Craftsman compressor kept blowing the breaker. The old check valve was the problem. I could no longer get the original part replaced, as it is no longer available through Sears. I had to cut about 3/8 of an inch from the inlet tube, because there is a collar inside this check valve, whereas on the original, the tube could slip all of the way through. My compressor is over ten years old, and it works, once again, like a champ. This part also saved me about $500, because without it, I would have had to buy a new compressor.
