Brewista BSPVTK2BNA Smart Pour 2 Variable Temperature Kettle, 1.2L, Black

I have done countless hours of research on these electric variable temp kettles. This one holds the most water for its size at 1.2L. The other .9 and 1.0L options fall short in terms of brew capacity. This kettle is also stylish and the base it sits on is also neat. Auto wake works great. Although you do need to tap the keep warm function every time you return to base while brewing. The flow rate is a bit quick, but also very controllable. Gets up to temp in about 5 minutes and auto holds. All in all, it's a fine piece of machinery.

No complaints! Did a lot of research, and settled on this one because of its sleek appearance, the controls are separated (on the bottom plate instead of handle), and there's an option to auto program. I've been using everyday for 1 month with no issues. I love the pour spout - it gives you a lot of control and the kettle does not feel heavy. Also, the timer will keep counting even if you set it back on the burner a few times. 100% worth the money.

Headline says it all. The kettle randomly just won't heat up water. Literally works one minute, then will not heat up for the next brew. Yes, I've tried unplugging and plugging it back in. I tried emptying all the water, refilling, and trying again. There is nothing you can do other than hope the kettle randomly decides to start working again at some point. Furthermore, the interface isn't intuitive and is clunky. The buttons aren't the most responsive and frankly, I just hate using this thing.

Good: boils quickly (3 minutes for 500ml); pours well; accurate and controllable temps; full time temp displayNot good: can't read the water level scale when filling the kettle because its on the handle side of an opaque kettle. like they copied a transparent kettle design. spout is extremely and unnecessarily sharp. control interface is unintuitive.

This kettle is perfect as part of a home pour over setup! Everything works as it should, timer comes on when you lift the kettle from the base, holds temperatures accurately for an hour (don’t forget to refill between brewing sessions!), and it is beautiful. The fit and finish is awesome, it feels well made, and by far my favorite feature is the auto setting where it will be at your temperature by a set time! Nothing like being able to get right into weighing and grinding beans without waiting on the kettle to come to temperature. Overall an excellent item and would recommend this to anyone looking for an electric pour over kettle!

I chose this kettle because of the simple silhouette of the kettle and the favorable reviews of the brand. I prefer this style over the geometric look of the stagg kettle. I went out on a limb because this model had just been released and there was only one review.While the kettle gets to temperature quickly and functionally works great to heat up water, the craftmanship is sub par. The black paint began chipping On the top of the lid and at the top of the kettle opening after 2 months with minimal use. I have reached out to brewista twice and have not heard anything. I gave them several months to respond given Covid and now 12 days after my second attempt to reach them I am writing this public review I’m the hopes that they will stand behind their product and offer a replacement. I was willing to spend more on a nice kettle, but I am extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this product or this company.I hope this review helps other consumers.

I love the convenience of setting the timer to have my boiling water ready when I get up. It is also easy to push a button when you need boiling water any time of day. The pour spout took a little getting used to but now I could never go back to a regular one. This is the best purchase I have made all year.

This is the only gooseneck kettle that I’m aware of that can be programmed to turn on at a certain time. I had been using a bonavita but I wanted to have my water already heated when I woke up in the morning and so far it’s been great!
