The regular size adjusts to fit my 16.1-hand TB ad 15-hand Arabian fine. If you have a pony, you will have to get the small size. I've had mine for nearly 20 years, used on several different horses twice a month, and it has held up well. The only thing I've had to do to it was to replace the strap, which was no big deal. Also, there are cheaper sources than Amazon. Shop around
