Used in a DIY etching machine and works well

These are heavy duty switches some may not like how much effort you need to turn them on and off,I’m using them on a farm tractor for multiple lights front and back

I used mine to wire a reversing treadmill motor for my lathe. I thought it had failed when the motor stopped reversing after a year or so. so I ordered a new one. (cheap enough at six bucks) New switch didn't fix the problem. One of my connections had failed due to vibration. The original switch is still fine.

It's been a good switch so far for switching between two battery packs on my Razor Ecosmart Metro (I know, I know, I didn't know any better). The external batteries ride in the basket and this switches between them. So far it's worked well. It came missing a screw for one of the terminals but that wasn't a big deal, I'm actually going to remove the rest and just wrap the wires through the hole for a sleeker look and so my heat shrink will cover the whole connection. After getting caught in the rain once time I bought a rubber toggle cover.

Quality switch great price used for railway layout

Functionality is fine, it switches. However, I got it for an electronic project (steel etcher) and mounted it in a small plastic box. You have to hold the box down to switch it, and I even wonder if the plastic will eventually break where i mounted it. This would probably not be an issue if you were mounting it in something solid and made of metal, or a dashboard. But it takes a redonculous amount of force for it to be mounted in anything that is not bolted down. Required 2 hands to turn my unit on and off.

I've bought a lot of switches like this over the years, including this exact model, as well as other variations from Gardener Bender. This one is sturdy and well made. It's considerably stiffer than other ones , including another exact same model I have beside it. This DPDT (double pole double throw) switch came in the same packaging as ones I've purchased from HomeDepot and Lowe's so it's not a cheaper knock-offs imitation.

Sifting through the rest of the garbage out there, I was happy to find these heavy duty mechanical switches for a project I am working on. It's pretty tough to find a motor rated switch at the retail level these days, particularity with AC rating. I really like how stiff the mechanism is with this switch as accidental engagement should be difficult. Full Spec sheet with schematic available on Gardner Benders website.

It's one of those products: Looks good, but is very rough in use compared to an industrial quality product. I'd not expect more than 1000 safe actuations. Update: Gives my LEDs a little spike of light when switching....so, if you have sensitive equipment, perhaps look elsewhere; also, hard to actually switch. Evidently made w/o QC.

Put them under load and they held up. These are a rare item at local suppliers and I was glad to be able to find them.
