For a total of 60 sites in Manhattan, this book published in 2019 classically presents a vintage photograph on the left page and a recent one on the right page. The general introduction is enlightening, and captions are substantial. The images are of top quality, intrinsically and in terms of printing. An overall map locates all the spots covered for easy reference.The only shortcoming is a reference in two places to extra photos which were not included in this edition.Overall, however, anyone interested in New York City will be certainly fascinated by this book.
