I don’t know if mine is broken or not, but it is still usable. There is a plastic bumper I will call it, along the strands to hold the slider in place short or long. It took some finagling to match the buffer to the slider piece , but it ends up working.

It wasn't as long as it looks on the model in the photo but it is a pretty necklace. Though I wanted something a little longer, it was too pretty and the price was too good to send it back

Lovely necklace for a good price

I was looking for a long necklace to wear to a special event with a long sparkly top but was having no luck. Two days before the event, I had given up, but then I noticed this necklace on an Amazon email. I ordered it and it came the next day -- one day before the event! It was just perfect and a real bargain.I was one happy amper!
