Fantastic product! Great for large dogs/SUVs
This product is fantastic—easy to assemble, sturdy, and a great price! I have a large German Shepherd who used to be a safety hazard in the backseat, but this has been a true game changer. The only downside is the large gap at the bottom; however, I solved this by putting my armrest up, which worked perfectly. Overall, 10/10! I installed this in my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Dog barrier, cargo barrier, poor man's molle....
Installed for an overlanding trip in my Jeep to protect my melon should all my gear come flying forward. It also double as a poor man's molle, as in I can hang some gear from it. Real molle panels obviously would be better suite for hanging gear, but they also aren't cheap! I like the beefy bars used to pull the panel into head rests, much better than the Velcro or friction straps a lot of the come with. Installation was a breeze, and it is mounted SOLID. I did have to add a couple nuts as spacers under the knob initially, but I circled back later and cut the threaded head rest hook down to size. Also the clips that hold the side panels in place don't snap on super easy, but a light squeeze with a pair of pliers got them to comply with little effort. While there are better/beefier barriers out there, you won't find one at this price point.

Mediocre design but seems to do the intended job
Got this for my 2023 Subaru Outback Wilderness as I was tired of my dogs tearing up the interior from letting them hang out with the back seats down. Overall fitment in the Outback as you can see in the 1st picture conforms decently with the gap between the back seat/roof. Do note that if you want to be able to drop the rear seats down without removing the bracket you will have to drop the grate down a little bit lower, at least in the Gen 6 Outbacks.Overall I gave this 4 stars, it is certainly serviceable and works as described, and given that the nicer barriers from Subaru or TravelAll are in the $250-$300 range, it seems short term to be decent value for the money. Having said that however just a few minor changes could make this into a fantastic product, even if the cost were bumped up by $10-$20.The brackets that connect to the head rest post rely on the hook clicking onto the post, but when you tighten the bolts into the brackets, the ends of the bolts do not have a threaded hole to go into, they simply tighten against the post if you have them lined up right or in my case in the 2nd picture, due to the angle they just tighten and then start hitting the other side of the hook or floating off into empty space. If the product came with two pairs of the mounting assembly so it could mount to both posts of both headrests and/or the hook bracket itself had a threaded return hole for the bolt to thread into (preferably a metal threading of course) this would allow the product to tighten much better and reliably against the posts. I have only driven a few hours with this on but it seems reasonably sturdy but we'll see how it does in the long run. I was tempted due to the low price to buy a second one so I could get another pair of head rest post mounts but for the time being I will live with it.I saw in some reviews that customers indicated the product was loose/flapped/rattled. I experienced the same thing and was very disappointed in the product, however in my rush to assemble it I didn't notice that in the instructions it points out that it includes two different length bolts for the attachment points to the rear head rests. After swapping the longer bolts I had originally used for the shorter ones, overall, it feels fairly sturdy considering it's just hanging onto the two head rest posts with the very rudimentary hook shaped bracket. I have not noticed any vibration or movement while driving so far.The installation is not hard but can be annoying if you're doing it by yourself as you need to hold the metal grates at the appropriate height while trying to attach the headrest brackets/tighten them down, but it's doable. Having said that I would probably be unhappy if I needed to remove/reinstall this product on a regular basis in order to drop the rear folding seats.Overall if you're looking for a budget orient barrier, this is a solid choice.

Easy to install, nice barrier
I have two dogs who pout if they don’t get to go on daily rides to take my kids to school. I don’t love their nails on my leather seats, and they both shed a lot, so I decided to try them in the cargo area of my SUV instead, which is a bit easier to keep clean. I ordered this obviously to provide the separation and curb their desire to be closer to their humans. It works well. It was not hard to install once I got all the parts and pieces put together. I can take it on and off pretty easily, but I do need to climb into the cargo area to do so. I drive a 2014 Ford Edge SUV and this fits pretty well. I could expand it a bit more for a wider vehicle, like a Yukon or Tahoe, and it would likely fit well too without too much gap on the sides. I was worried this would be too flimsy, but for my dogs it is sturdy enough. That being said, neither of them push their boundaries too much. An incredibly determined bigger dog might be able to pull it/dislodge it from position, but it wouldn’t really be easy to do if installed correctly.

instructions are horrible
I realize that these products are sold globally, and the instructions and CYA disclaimers have to be understood by a majority of cutomers. However, if they had spent half as much time making the instructions clear and easy to understand as they did in translating them into every language known to man, and made the pictures clearer, then maybe this product wouldnt have been as frustrating to assemble and use.I am fluent in two languages and understand a third, so its not just the english portion that was bad, i can attest that the written instructions are unclear in multiple languages.Once assembled correctly, it seems to work. Time will tell how long it will hold up

Fragile parts holding together what might otherwise be a good product
Product is attached to front seats’ headrests with plastic question mark-shaped hooks. Hooks broke pretty quickly. Amazon stated they could not send a replacement part, only replace the entire item (meaning I would need to trash entire item because they would not send me a hook). Called customer service phone number and they were equally unhelpful. They gave me a manufacturer’s number to call with turned out which did not go through. I would avoid this product is it’s correct replacement depends on a fragile hook that cannot be replaced. Product does not stay in position without this hook.

Brilliant product - my dog and I approve!
Got this to keep from having to lug a dog crate in and out of the cargo compartment of my Honda CRV. I use it along with a cargo liner and tether and it works perfectly to keep my dog safely contained in the cargo area and not jumping over the seat. It gives him enough room to move around safely and comfortably. It was easy to install, adjusts to fit and sits sturdily in place with no movement or noise. Dog is happy, I am happy.
