After using other brands for years and hearing good things about these genuine acid-free boards,I thought I would give them a try. The majority of boards eventually need replacing after around 5-10 years and these are meant to last a lot longer and maybe never need replacement. I will keep on eye on these and hope they live up to expectations.

If you're serious about your comics, you want E Gerber products. Full Backs are sturdier but make less room for the comic, which matters more for thicker comics. I use half-backs for a lot of things now, though for more valuable comics consider the full-backs. Definitely top shelf product.

I've been looking into putting my whole comic collection in Mylar, so far, I am on track but wanted to know more about these boards so I bought a pack, good thing. The combo of the Mylar & Half back fit perfectly, has a bit of space but placed the comic books perfectly inside the Mylar. I will buy more of these from now on.

If I could, I’d leave 4.5 stars, but feel that 4 stars is too low. Don’t get me wrong, these are excellent backing boards, and from research and results found by other comic enthusiasts (CGC forums, which I trust), they’re one of the only true acid-free options on the market. However, I’d give these 4.5 stars if I could because the boards aren’t cut accurately. I have to trim the long edges because the corners aren’t exact 90 degree angles. This might be an issue with other backing boards, but I’ve never noticed such inaccuracy. Again though, best option of the market for a truly acid-free product.

The boards came in excellent shape and were packaged nice and safe.
