Frightening story

Is the church our savior or our terminator

I watch this at least once every six months, it's a great movie that very re-watchable. A cast of excellent actors in a moving story.

Heartbreaking. Hopeful in the end.

My all time *favorite* movie since I was 16. (I’m 60 now). Bought and given away movie and soundtrack 8 times (at least). The often perplexing war between good/evil in this world and most important, the one we all face within ourselves. This movie is about some of the worst evils man is capable of, forgiveness, redemption and most importantly - that forgiveness of self MUST happen to move forward in life. It’s a choice and it is ours alone to make (watch for the symbolism in the waterfall scene in particular). Packaging is flimsy, inserts the original packaging included aren’t there at all. Poor quality paper/cover photo. Little to no info about movie, characters and actors names. Btw, the soundtrack by Ennio Morricone is exquisite on a great music system that well encompasses wide musical range. BOTH MOVIE & SOUNDTRACK ARE QUITE MOVING. (SOUNDTRACK not included) Buy the original movie DVD USED if looking to keep this or gift to someone. Most I have seen are in very good to great shape. (I do not recommend this poor copy and case)

Ce film est historique , très émouvant , il y a une scène qui m'a tellement bouleversée. Jamais je n'aurais pensé qu'on aurait pu attacher un humain sur une croix de bois et le jeter dans une rivière pour le faire mourir, quand il tombe dans les chutes. On nous met en contexte le vécu des tribus autochtones du Paraguay quand les hommes blancs sans scrupules ont envahi leur territoire pour en faire des esclaves et les dépouiller. Il y a aussi les Jésuites qui sont débarqués pour les évangéliser. Les paysages sont magnifiques. Les acteurs sont très bons, on constate une des dures réalités de l'époque qui malheureusement est encore actuelle.

Es buena edición y estaba a buena oferta pero el dvd solo cuenta con castellano pero si subtitulos al español latino.

Un Blu-Ray à avoir obligatoirement dans sa collection de Blu-Ray. Immense film de Roland Joffé avec une musique mémorable d'Ennio Morricone et des acteurs fabuleux.

Ist ein ausgesprochen gut gemachter Film mit Tiefgang. Kaufabwicklung ok. Lieferant kann empfohlen werden.
