Advanced Student Compass 2 Piece Set - Metal Compass with Quick-Set Center Wheel, Universal Adapter & Spare Lead, Draws Circles up to 10.25"

Great for precision work

Perfect! High quality, it was worthy amd easy to use. The size is great fit. The value for the money is great.

The plastic arms wont hold a steady size. Get a spiral not a circle.

Excellent product! It arrived on time, was exactly as described, and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

Perfect compass for all your geometry class needs. Just be advised though, it only comes with one lead refill piece. Other than that, it fits really well in my bag, doesn't break, and it has a high class feel to it.

Everything Staedtler makes is a bit more expensive but never disappoints. After purchasing half a dozen compass at the local shops, I decided to get my kid a better one. This is his second year, and I am confident it will last a few years.

I wouldn’t use these for a compass. It makes an O.K. divider for transferring measurements but are not strong enough as a compass. You can not open these by pulling in the legs. The screw wasn’t made for that. I have an all metal style older Steadtler model that you can pull on the legs to quickly spread the legs, but after you loosen a nut on the threads so that the legs will part on the threaded rod. These are not the ones bought, but are an older set from my college days. I switched out the lead and placed a metal point into this compass. It will measure up to 5 3/4 at one half to 11 1/2inches point to point full spread. As far as the other reviews that say the legs are too wobbly, tighten the mid nut rings that allow you to bend the legs and they are fairly steady, but there is a bit of play in the threaded rod. I suspect that the nut pivots in the mid legs have a small bit of play in them. There is also some play in the top pivot at the phillips screw. The points will move about 3mm side to side. That’s why the circles this compass makes could be slightly oval in shape or won’t meet lead line to lead line. I did tighten the Phillips screw at the pivot and that did stop the play in the pivot at the top of the compass, but I suspect it will loosen over use. Like I said in the beginning, it will work as a divider.

Good compass. It is a good size for my work. I did hurt it a little, so now it is not as accurate, but it is fine for now.

Great brand name and this works effortlessly and precise. I couldn't be happier with it. Every artist should have one of these ☆☆☆☆☆

Peut être un peu dispendieux mais la qualité est au rendez-vous ! Savoir que chaque pièce de cette marque est remplaçable me conforte dans mon achat .

AS expected. Good results.

Simply a really nice compass. Comfortable, well made and durable

I give a 5-star review when I get basic items that are exactly as advertised. This was the case here.
