Electrical Wiring Industrial (MindTap Course List)

Excellent book and a practical vocational overview for electricians and electrical engineering
This is a wonderful book. It was written by vocational people who work with their hands and want the gist of the matter, not some lengthy discussion about ohms law and Fourier waves. The book was wonderful to me because it connects the dots between many different electrical disciplines that not every engineer can realistically be exposed to throughout their career. For example, it covers sub station wiring, site plans for infrastructure wiring, PLC and machine controls, motor controls, national electric code practical highlights, electrical drawings and schematics reading, networking, fiber and switches and so much more. The book has quizzes at the end to help you memories key matters. The author speaks clearly and concisely; no professor babel here. As an example, I included an image of a paragraph in the book; it addresses a common mistake people make as they mix between the term contactor, starter and relay. Love this book, it's worth it's weight in gold.

Like a bar for my super short hair
This particular version is a little drying for me (already dry scalp), but I like the smell. Love that packaging is a piece of heavy (recycleable) paper

Misleading and Frustrating for Kindle Users
This textbook is a complete letdown for Kindle users. The description makes it sound like there might be some "additional media content" that wouldn't be available in the eBook, but that's not the issue. The real problem is that the book constantly refers to essential resources, such as "site plans" and blueprints, that are supposed to be included at the end of the book—yet they are completely missing from the Kindle version. These aren't some optional extras; they are core to understanding the content! Without them, the book is nearly unusable, leaving you scrambling to make sense of references that lead nowhere. To make matters worse, the book gives no indication that these critical materials won't be accessible in the eBook version, making it feel like a bait-and-switch. Cengage should be embarrassed by this oversight, especially for a book that touts itself as a practical guide for industrial wiring. What's the point of the detailed examples and problem-solving steps when you're left guessing on key parts of the material? This textbook is misleading, incomplete, and a total rip-off if you’re using the Kindle version. Avoid at all costs if you expect to actually follow along with the course material as intended.
