Very useful clipper
Have five 4 rat terriers an one teacup chihuahua. It is very difficult to trim theirs nails. With this clipper I can see clearly where to cut.

Terrible quality
Straight out the box, I knew these would be trouble. They have a cheap plastic feel, and I wasn't sure they'd hold up to my cats' nails. They did not leave a clean cut, but splintered every nail I used them on. The blade looks nicked, not smooth, which is probably why it cuts so messily. The light is a good idea, but the magnifying glass attachment is useless. They came scuffed and don't produce a clear image.I wouldn't recommend these. They probably won't work on anything larger than my 15 lb cats.

ok product for the price
Clippers came with no instructions also does not show that it requires 3 of the tiny batteries. It did come with batteries, but they were dead so had to go find and purchase batteries before we could us. The light does work well to see the vein in the dogs nails as long as their nails are white. Did not work well with dogs nails that were darker in color and the magnifying part is on the side, but the light is on top. You cant look thru the magnifier and use the light at the same time. With the magnifyer on the side it requires you to hold you dogs foot in an awkward position. The blade was fairly sharp and did cut fairly easily. Overall about a 3 out of 5. Worth it for the price

Not right for every nail!
First let me say I think the idea of this product is amazing! A lighted pair of clippers and the option of magnifying is great. That being said, these in particular need some improvements.First thing I noticed was they stick after they're closed (after you make the cut). The handles and inside parts are entirely plastic, which makes them feel as if they'll crack of you squeezed too hard. The blades are metal and that's the only metal I see on them. The magnifying /safety piece is not good, much too difficult to see through because it's a cheaper plastic like a kids plastic magnifying glass. The button that slides for the light being on/off/on when clipping also slides back and forth very easily when you're trimming. These worked fairly well for our two 50 pound pitties who have thinner nails, but for our 75 pound German Shorthaired Pointer, they weren't quite strong enough. It took several times of doing small trims to get one nail done because his nails are thick. The light wasn't helpful on his because of how dark his nails are and the fact the light is placed on the top of the clippers so it doesn't illuminate the entire nail in order to see through a darker nail,so I had to use a small flashlight like I normally do anyways. If you have a dog that doesn't have thick or very dark nails, this will probably be great and you won't need anything else. For our fur babies, this isn't going to work well and I am still looking for that great pair of trimmers!

They work great!
The light and magnet are life savers. You can clearly see where you’re supposed to clip the nail. These work great! Definitely recommend.

This CHIPS the cat's nails - doesn't cut it. ;)
I appreciate the light on this item because it's always tricky to trim a kitty's nails without seeing to well. But when I do the SNIP, it doesn't cut well - not sharp enough? It left so many jagged hanging edges on the claw, so I'd have to keep snipping - at that point, forget it. I won't torture my kitty any more. Bought something else.

Great seller
This product is unable to cut my dogs nails. She is about 80 pounds and when I squeezed the handle, the cutter shattered the nail into splinters instead of cutting them. Just not good for big nails, but seller was very receptive to the problems.
