Turning mechanism in hasp is basic but seems robust. Minimal packaging but plastic case is a good size for keeping the small pieces sorted. A good purchase for anyone looking for a small hasp with a classic look and function.

These are surprisingly study for what they cost. I will definitely buy again when I run out. They swivel well and lock into place with spring loaded tension at the 90degree marks which make them extraordinarily useful! 5 stays across the board because it does everything very well.As for the sheerness that amazon wants me to rate it on... I found this word a bit vague so I looked it up. "Sheerness is a town and civil parish beside the mouth of the River Medway on the north-west corner of the Isle of Sheppey in north Kent, England. With a population of 12,000, it is the largest town on the island."These products were made in China, not Sheerness, but I'm am still inclined to give it a 5 star rating because of the quality of function.

I bought these to use on leather projects. The spring that holds the latch in place works and the base is notched so it stays shut or open without issues. They look great and are functional. It's worth noting that I am unable to detect any nickel on these, so they are usable for people with nickel allergies. Some are a bit stiff at first, but that happens with a lot of hardware. Two of the base parts with the holed needed a little working as there was a bit of extra metal in the holes from the metal casting, yet they were easy to fix. The holes for the strews or rivets are 2 cm apart on both pieces and when latched the holes on the separate pieces are 1.5 cm apart.

I used these on a corset, and the ratcheting feature of the hinge makes them much more stable. I wish you could choose to purchase with rivets instead of screws, or that they would give you the diameter of the hole, but that's a small issue.

I found these items to be solid and well cast they are a solid piece not a stamped piece like others. I used them on Childrens doll houses so that once closed they could be latched and dolls along with other small items wouldnt fall out as they were carried. Great product and everything you need in nice plastic case.

This was the perfect hardware to finish a project I was working on. The latch itself seems to be very durable so far, and is a nice neutral hardware piece both in color and design for many types of projects. I also love that it comes in bulk to have on hand so that the DIYers and crafty people like me out there don't have to scramble to order more patches individually when another project idea hits them...which usually happens in quick succession!

I liked how sturdy/thick they were. I used them for a swing door on a birdhouse that I built. I could have gotten away with using just one hasp but as you can see in my picture I decided to add a second one because I don't know how fast they'll rust.

These are an average unit which is usable, but what annoys me is, there is no offset. The post should be a little longer to account for thickness of leather. I was able to make these work with 7oz leather....but just barely.

I use to buy this kind of closure for higher price somewhere else. They are similar, except these ones, when you open/close them have like 3 "clicks", the move isnt smooth. But they works just fine. Will definitely buy again

These are high quality and superior to others that I have bought. I am very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone. They are worth the higher cost.
