Q: Does the leg rest retract? I do not see any photo showing that.

Yep, it slides back and forth. The leg rest rotate upside down and side under the chair.

Q: Where in the box are the instructions? I did not recieve any.

No instructions provided for my chair, either.

Q: what is the max lbs. weight limit the chair is rated that it will hold safely, and not self destruct, 150#, 250#, 350#. it should say on the chair

The chair is rated for 280 pounds. I'm around 270 and it feels very sturdy to me. When I assembled it I remember thinking that it was well built and solid especially for the price. Seems to be about the same stability and strength as my office chair, which I paid three times as much for. The assembly took a bit of muscle for tightening bolts and aligning the seat body to the frame, but not too difficult.
