The base works OK but beware if you need guidance on pin assignments
Two problems: first, the blade in the punch tool sometimes comes out of the tool and gets stuck in the jack. Second: when using with VCE's own jacks, the pin assignments (which are printed on the sides of the jacks) aren't visible when in the base. If you just remember the pin assignments, then this doesn't matter. But if you need to be able to see the printed assignments to keep everything straight, then consider this!

Works for most connections.
Just find the right slot for the connection you are making and place the jack there. This allow for much greater stability when you make the punchdown connections. I used this for several runs of cable and it make the connections quicker and I did not have any signal loss.

Punch Down stand is valuable.
I already have a professional punch down tool, so I didn't need the punch down tool. However, the wire stripper works really well and I like it. The punch down stand is the really valuable item. It holds the jack steady during punchdown and reduces chance of injury or breaking the tabs off the jack.

Worked for me. I didn't want to spend a lot for a quality tool that I'll only use a couple times. This worked well.

A pretty mundane product at an excellent price, the VCE keystone punch down is excellent value for money. The Good: - Excellent price point and warehoused locally for quick shipping - The punch down stand has both A and B orientations - The punch down stand is sturdy The Bad: - The punch down stand is hollow on the base, meaning you'll be grinding up your hands if holding it to punch - The wire stripper is ABSOLUTELY useless. As a stripper, it often cut too deep, scoring the twisted pairs. As a punch down tool, it was next to useless as it can't deliver enough force to properly seat a wire Overall, this is great value for the punch down stand, but prepare to throw the stripper/punch down tool in the trash and buy proper tools for those jobs instead.

Makes punch downs very easy. Supplied cutter/stripper is a joke though.

Provided a good stable way to install wires into RJ45-keystone jacks on bumpy stucco-like drywall surface. The wire stripper was far superior to the similar-looking one that I got with the super cheap Westonetek-branded punchdown impact tool, but with this stand I could use that punchdown to push hard and move handle 360º degrees to get wires seated correctly and stand let me avoid damaging wall. So I'd recommend getting this stand.
