This pad lasted nearly 7 months on the Appalachian Trail
I thru-hiked the Appalachian trail in 2022 from March to September. I slept on this pad nearly every single night through all 4 seasons, all types of weather, and all types of terrain. I am a guy, so I sleep hot, or so I'm told. This pad kept me warm through a three day snow storm in the Great Smoky Mountains, The White Mountains, NH in the Fall, and during hurricane rains and winds in the 100 mile wilderness in Maine, where the rain was non-stop for 5 days straight. I slept comfortably during the Summer months in Pennsylvania as well, and everywhere in between. Those are just a few examples. I am a side and tummy sleeper and never had an issue with comfort. Somewhere around the 5 month mark a tiny pinhole developed and I was able to patch it and keep going. Eventually more pinholes developed and the last two weeks on trail I used a cheap foam pad because my Klymit would no longer stay inflated. I didn't even care at that point anyway, ha! I'm not disappointed, however, because I put this pad through everything you can imagine and more on a DAILY basis for around 6 1/2 months straight. And for the price that's amazing! A huge bonus is it is quiet and does not sound like you're rolling around on a bag of potato chips, like most other inflatable pads. Also, it only took me 9-10 full breaths to fully inflate it. I will be thru-hiking the Colorado Trail beginning in June of 2023, and I am definitely purchasing another Klymit sleeping pad like this one! 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Great product, highly recommend especially when its on sale!
I've always been one to use an air mattress when camping, but when flying to a camping destination/ arriving late at night to a site and not wanting to wake the whole campground with the sound of the pump: I needed another option. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a go and I'm glad we did! This pad takes up less room than a pair of sweatpants and is really easy and quick to inflate. I only had one issue with it and that was a user error. It's a bit hard to properly close once completely inflated and I learned that the hard way, I thought I had it closed, but until you hear the snap its not... I woke up 2 times that night and had to re inflate, after the second time I pushed that sucker HARD and that's when I heard the snap and realized OHHHH... okay user error haha I've never had the same problem. We now have two and they BOTH fit into our tent bag along with the tent/poles etc... lightweight, comfy, takes up very little space and keeps me warm and off the ground. I read that this one often goes on sale so I snagged it up when it was on sale, highly recommend!!

Great sleeping pad, will save your back
I bought the Klymit Static V sleeping pad about 2 1/2 years ago for my time in the Marine Corps in place of our issued sleep pad and have used it numerous times. It is exponentially more comfortable than typical foam sleeping mats and traps heat incredibly well, protecting you from the cold Earth at night. It packs down very small and is very light weight, I rolled it right inside of my sleeping system for storage when hiking to new bivouac sites. The fabric is sturdy and does not tear easily, I’ve not had any tears or damage to the pad so far. There are a few downsides that I found while using. The inflation/deflation port is strange and a little weird to get used to, however it works rather well and doesn’t allow air out or in unless you want it to. When sleeping on the pad, it makes a relatively noisy squeaking sound when settling in and any movement causes additional noise- if noise discipline matters for your application. Aside from that, I would highly recommend this product for avid backpackers or military service members that want to save their backs.

Great and Rugged
Used this for an army exercise. It was great. Very comfortable, easy to use, compact, durable. Only issue is the inflate/deflate valve popped out, its easy to put back in, but it was an unexpected thing. Still 5 stars in my book. Update 1 Year later: Still a great product. Used it in multiple exercises at this point and a few personal camp outings. Still no issue (i somehow lost the compression bag it goes it tho). Its quick to inflate, doesn't deflate super quick though. I do "force air out" but i don't do it too hard for fear of cause a hole or busting a seam. I do notice that when i shift my weight or sit up on this pad, I hear a squeak now. Not sure what causes it, or if its signs of a developing problem. Still doesn't leak though. I tested this down to 7 degrees F (-14C). I could feel the cold radiating through the pad. Even in my -40F sleep system. It kind of sucked, but at those temperatures i probably should be using a different product. Still not disappointed. Still recommend.

Great addition to my camping gear
After hiking and camping with foam rolls I decided to step up to something a little nicer and more compact when storing or hiking. My son and I tend to camp a lot through the season including a lot during the colder months in fall and spring in the rockies. Paired with a good sleeping bag youll never get cold with these mats. I dont sleep hot but this mat combined with my bag had me trying to cool off in the 40-50 degree range. I sleep on my back and sides and i havent had any issue doing both. At 6'2 200lbs these are solid and hold me perfectly. I will say youll want to get a long if youre 6'+ as I kinda hang off if i straighten out but its nothing that worries me. Klymit doesnt really offer a comparable long mat so I had to make do with this one. Easy to inflate and takes me 8-10 breaths. The inflation mechanism could be better but once you get the hang of it its a piece of cake. They pack up nicely after you figure out the best way to roll them. Getting air out isnt the hardest but does take a couple practice roll ups before you get the most efficient process. Id definitely recommend them for now. Ive used my two mats on 3 straight weeks of camping and theyve been awesome to sleep on. Ill update if anything occurs to lower my score.

A good nights sleep!
This is a great pad. It is lightish and fairly insulating. I live in Texas so don’t need a super warm pad. The great feature about this pad aside from being tan (why are there not more subdued color pads?) is the inflation/deflation valve, it is awesome! You flip it one way to inflate and just blow it up. When deflating you flip it around and it only lets air out so that you can roll it up to remove all of the air and then you don’t have to find the valve again to close it or anything. Love it! The additional cap that goes over the valve when inflated is a bit tough to close but this gives me comfort knowing it will not pop off in the middle of the night. It has an o ring to prevent any air getting out. Tip! Always put your sleep pad inside of your bivy or sleeping bag to protect it and get the full thermal benefits.

👍👍 Love it!
The price is great! The product is the best! I've used this now numerous times. It stays inflated, I've read reviews that say it doesn't, and mine has never had that issue. It also has a great R value. I live in the PNW and used this pad all winter and early spring with satisfaction. I am also a woman, side sleeper, and roller in my sleep. This pad is designed so it takes the pressure off of my hips when I sleep, and is large enough that I can keep on the pad when rolling over at night. The weight isn't too much. It's not an ultralight pad, but is still just a little over a pound so perfect for backpacking. I purchased mine with the quilted cover to slip over it. The cover holds my pillow, or makeshift pillow in place so that it never slides away. Also I love the design of the inflation hole. It is flat and does not stick out. Very nice. Always deflates farely simple, rolls right back up, and fits perfectly in the bag it came in I am a person that stays loyal to great brands and products. I will not be switching pads anytime soon. 👍👍

Valve issues
Don’t buy this. I took it on a 4 day backpacking trip and the first night the valve broke. It lost the small flimsy piece that keeps air in as you inflate the pad. Literally just fell out as I was inflating and lost it inside the pad. Everything else about the pad is good but if it can’t hold air or I can’t air it up easily then it’s kinda pointless

Model with Twist Valve
I just received and inflated and realize this is a model with a twist valve. In the first picture it shows a twist valve but on the 3rd picture it shows the flip valve so this is very misleading. Twist valves are prone to leaking. I should have known for the price but it wasn’t even that much cheaper. Amazon should remove the product image with a new valve because that is false information. I trust Amazon for not selling knockoffs but this is confusing Mat is working fine I think. I wish it wasn’t the twist valve.
