Great Books!
I’m in love with these books, and so is my son. Such a great way to get them to read a little more. Especially for book reports these books have all main details of each Person. Love them will definitely purchase more.

Includes nudes
I bought this for my fourth graders to use in small groups along with some other Who Was titles. This group was very interested in Frida, right up until they arrived at the nude paintings. I don’t know why this illustrator/publisher chose to include nude paintings in this book when there were plenty of other works to choose from. In fact, in one illustration, there’s a massive illustration of a breast in the foreground while regular self portraits are in the background. As a teacher, I was very embarrassed by this and had to contact parents and apologize. I am not prude or for censoring, but there was no reason to include these in a kids’ book when other options were available.

Great educational books for early readers
My 8 year old son absolutely LOVES these books. It's a great way for young kids to learn about history in a fun way. And they're easy reads, so he goes thru them quick and feels super accomplished the more he reads. Great series.

Wonderful story
My 6 year old loves this story. This is a great intro story for a young person. While it leaves out some of the more colorful aspects of her life it doesn’t forget how mischievous she was or how much her and her husband didn’t get along. I loved that it was touched on how she created her style of painting. I was able to expand on those concepts with my daughter and it was a great impromptu art history lesson. We will be riding more of these books.

Awesome book
I liked it because it gave me a lot of information on Frida Kahlo because I knew who she was and what she did. BUT I didn’t know all the the details . Thanks Sarah Fabiny by the way my name is Sarah and it is spelled with an h.

five star
In this book it is like something amazing that you don't know what to say. At first,i thought these books were horrible, but when i read that first book... it changeed my whole world! So when one day i will know something that happened in history... and you got to read this book! p.s: there is a show about the books but they lie a little.

Where is her political life
I read this as I'd seen the film of her life and wanted to learn more? I'm going have to find a more detailed biography as it seems to lack anything to do with her political life, really strange!

Good for kids, informative but not OTT
Brilliant book, the kids really engaged with it and we loved learning about Frida Kahlo. We did loads of activities around FK and the book was great for information on her life and why she's an inspirational woman.
