Academic success.
I'm surprised at the organization and "extras" that are in this book. It's helping me out more than I thought for my senior capstone paper for my English major. I also like that it's paperback and thin, with plenty of margins through the play to write a million notes.

The best series out there to study Shakespeare
The Oxford School Shakespeare Series is meant to teach someone who is 12 or over. The series does a wonderful job of explaining Victorian era England, word usage of the time, and notes on performing the plays, cultural and grammar notes. The plays are presented in the original language, and the commentary does not explain everything being said in modern day English. You must still read the play as the notes do not suffice to understand . After reading this series you should understand why the Bard is required reading. The Oxford School Shakespeare Series is how the learned person studies Shakespeare.

Great Book for Literature Class!
I would highly recommend for children entering a literature class. I purchased this for my son after reading a previous review. Has great overviews, commentaries, character descriptions/roles and the best part is for the acts they have the definitions in the margins for a quick reference. Perfect and very well organized. Highly recommend.

Perfect teaching edition
I love this edition. The notes on the text are helpful to middle or high school readers. Students will enjoy the photographs of a 1978 production in which Ian McKellan played the title role.

Great Buy
Purchased online before school started. Received it at a quick pace and it turned out to be exactly what the University store sells for the course.
