Better service and more spare parts than the other guys
I'm not going to go into gushing detail over this plate holder; I will get to the selling points. I was torn between many different options, all of which pretty much looked the same. I almost bought the $10 version. What convinced me to spend $20 instead? I saw "Darius" (the CEO) had replied to almost every review, and offered help wherever it seemed to be needed. The guy obviously wants his customers to be pleased and he takes pride in his business. I respect that. The other reason I paid the extra money is for the extra parts this kit includes (most of which I personally didn't end up using, but they were there if I needed/wanted them and many others would). It comes with spacers, screws, screw caps, and instructions. I used the original screws already on my car because they look shiny and new anyways. I didn't use the chrome caps although they look cool if you want to use them. Spacers are an extremely good idea, and although my car already had them on, I still might use the extra ones I received. As for the bottom of the plate holder, there are two little "hooks" that hold the tag in place and they are smoothed out and don't appear to be harmful whatsoever, nor do they jut out enough to be a problem. They do what they're supposed to do; hold the plate in the holder.THE CONCERN: It is apparent that all of the plate holders are going to have a bit of a "sharp" back edge along the outline. It's just the way they are made. I read about sharp back edges in every different product I looked at. And I'm sure the cheaper ones are much sharper. This one is very smooth on the front and sides, but the back is slightly "sharp", enough for us car lovers to have a slight level of concern. But my worries are alleviated after using it for a week with no issues. This kit includes spacers (pretty much foam sticky tape) and accurate instructions on how to use them. Got a question about installation for your particular vehicle? Shoot Darius an email and he'll reply sooner than you expect. In my case, my Maxima had some pads behind the plate near the bottom, so the bottom and side edges of the back of the plate frame don't touch my paint at all. But the top of the frame does slightly rest on the paint. I could have used the spacers that came with the frame (and I still might), but instead I cautiously secured it tight enough so it won't move, and trusted the words of wisdom that came with the frame, informing me that so long as it is installed properly, it's highly unlikely going to leave any damaging scratches on your paint. I also asked for advice and tips from Darius and he quickly followed up with a helpful reply. This frame seems to be of good, strong quality and I would imagine it is better quality and significantly less "sharp" than the cheaper ones... but nevertheless, even if many of these plate frames are coming from similar factories, THIS company is going to provide you with enough screws, spacers, screw caps etc to get the job done properly for your situation and, more importantly, the customer service to answer your questions is just an email away. And I'm quite certain I also read that if I wasn't completely satisfied I could return it for a full refund, no hassle. For those reasons, the item and the seller receive 5 stars from me. Oh, and the frame looks sick on my Maxima. That shiny, sleek, chrome frame surrounding my plate, matching the rest of the chrome on the back of the whip, all against the metallic slate color on my tinted 2013 loaded Maxima premium SV looks really good. OK, so I got in two sentences of gushing about it. I will post pics in a couple days so you all can agree and buy one for yourself and be cool like me. "NO RAGRETS"

Outstanding quality, but large hard to use screw covers.
This is an excellent plate frame for those looking to have a quality metal frame that looks good. I have used chromed ones before and they peel and rust with age. This is very sturdy construction and looks built to last. Time will tell obviously, but initial impression are very good. The mounting hardware included 4 screws of the same size, but my Honda uses 2 big and 2 small screws. Can't dock the plate for that. The main issue I had was the screw caps/covers. They would NOT fit for me. I got 2 on just fine, the 3rd took some effort. I mashed it on there after a lot of effort. The 4th, not a change. I tried prying it to make it bigger to fit over the screw cap holder and had no luck. Pried the other 3 off and bought cheapos form a local auto store. They matched and look great and were cake to install. As a bonus they were smaller and looked better because of it. The pictures don't lie and the screw covers are LARGE.The reason I still give this plate 5 stares are due to its outstanding quality. The screw caps were not a huge deal to me. Also, I contact DFDM through amazon and got a reply in under and hour! They quickly apologized for the inconvenience and asked what I wanted to do. I suggested a small refund to cover buying cheapo screw covers and they gave it to me with in minutes. That is customer service! I promptly ordered another one of these for my girlfriends car to fix her rusting old frame. This frame is of much better quality than ANY of the "chromed" and "stainless steel" plates I found at both my local auto stores. It is heavier duty and has a better finish. This plate frame also has great support to back it up. I also like that the frame is thin enough that it doesn't cover up registration stickers.

The flat surfaces of the piece and screw caps are certainly not dull but I guess could pass by some standards as ...
I have to agree with some reviewers that there are positive qualities to this product and areas for improvement. First the material of build is likely indeed the 304 stainless the packaging states. It is very slightly magnetic thus consistent with other samples of 304 I have in my shop. Cannot do metallurgy so we will leave it at that. My comments on the finish are also consistent with others that the "polished" state is a bit of a stretch. The flat surfaces of the piece and screw caps are certainly not dull but I guess could pass by some standards as polished. The gauge of the sheet stock used for the product is adequate and a bit more rigid that other plate frames I have seen for sale. I agree with some reviewers that the edges of the frame are sharp in places and could scratch the car's paint if mounted too close to it. The caps provided to cover the screws are next to impossible to just push on. Using a rubber mallet in my application to force fit the covers would likely cause body damage as the plate is located on the car body's sheet steel. I handled the short comings of this product by first using a smooth file on the back edge, to take off the sharp burr created by the stamping process. I polished the frame and screw cover caps on a buff wheel with white rouge. I accomplished a "mirror polish" on all the exterior surfaces of this product. The washers were too tight to fit the now mirror polished caps. I took a Fordam tool to the outside top edge of the washers until the caps would fit snugly over the washers. This was done in a carefully measured step wise fashion as if too much material was removed, there would not be sufficient friction between the two parts to ensure retention. I substituted stainless steel security screws to affix the plate and frame to the car. Finally, even though I removed and polished the edges of the frame to mitigate the chances of marring the paint finish, I installed 1/8 inch nylon spacers between plate and car to provide a gap between plate frame and the car surface. In summary, it is a good solid product that will resist corrosion and finish off your license plate, it could just use a few finishing touches to truly set it apart.

Outstanding Customer Service
This company sells excellent products (which are difficult to find elsewhere) supported by outstanding customer service. I had a minor problem with one of the installation components and it was dealt with expeditiously and in a manner that frankly surprised me. I have since purchased another of their license plate frames for one of my other vehicles.

Damaged cover
One cover wont snap with the washer. It says lifetime warranty for parts so I emailed customer service couple times and heard nothing from anyone. 🤷🏻♀️
