I bought this chair for my mother as a Christmas gift. It was for use at her makeup table. She had previously purchased a stool from another company and we could never get it put together correctly. The holes did not line up and those that did were not punched correctly, leaving us having to use pliers to get extra material out of the way so we could insert screws. Even with the work there was one screw we could never insert, and she decided to try the stool without it. Needless to say, it was a week before it was bent out of shape and out in storage, ready for the next yard sale or visit to the dump. Because of the experience my mother had been leery to try another chair such as this and had resorted to using a computer chair. I decided to take a chance and get her the Sparta Vanity Stool for Christmas. I was able to have the stool completely assembled and ready in around 30 minutes. It is also comfortable and looks great in her newly remodeled bathroom. We are both very pleased with the quality and attractiveness of this piece.

Purchased this chair for a guest room, was pleasantly surprised to see that, while it looked nice online, it looked even better out of the box. Assembly was very easy--maybe 20 or 30 minutes at most. The frame is metal and the paint was applied very well--doesn't chip off. Looks more expensive than it cost. The seat is a nice, comfortable size with just the right amount of padding. The chair back is a comfortable height. Even though the fabric is a light color, spot cleaning has not been a problem at all.

This is very nice looking and good quality for the price. Had a few issues putting it together, but did mange it by myself in less than an hour. Thought there were missing parts, but the very thin washers were just stuck together. Then discovered the legs have to go on a certain way to make it work. Would be nice if the legs were labeled which place to put them in. I'm heavy so worried whether it would be sturdy enough for me, but so far so good. I'm covering the seat with a towel to make it last longer as it is a suede type material and is light colored. This looks great with my antique cherry wood vanity. Seems very sturdy and am happy with it. It is not very comfortable to sit on for any length of time, but just use it while putting on makeup and doing my hair so it works fine for that. All in all - very happy with this vanity stool.
