Maui Moisture Heal and Hydrate Plus Shea Butter Vegan Combing Cream for Thick Curly Hair, 8 Oz

The nozzle on this was broken when it arrived so I may not purchase it from here anymore. Other than that, it worked very well to moisturize my low porosity hair, doesn’t weight my hair down, and it smells great!

Great product, my only complaint is that the pump came broken on my product. Meaning I unscrew the top and tap the product into my hands. Overall, I still use it daily and my curls have been so moisturized.

The pump arrived broken. It was lightly wrapped in bubble wrap but otherwise loose in a slightly larger box. The product smells great and has a nice consistency. It seems to melt into my hair instead of sit on top, which is awesome because other products don't do that for me. It's good for detangling, too.Update - after using this leave-in for 3 months, I'm hooked. It doesn't weigh my fine curls down at all. It keeps my hair feeling moisturized, even on day 2, which no other leave-in has done for me. I love it. I just wish the pump would work, since it's a bit difficult to get out of the bottle. 4 1/2 stars with broken pump.

Great Product..! I love it..!The Maui heal and hydrate shea butter combing cream is great. It really helps you style your hair by applying some and combing or brushing it into the desired style.I recently tried Heal and Hydrate plus Shea Butter Combing Cream on my hair. The cream is a nice thick but easy to use cream. I rub a small amount in my hands, and then I try to evenly apply in my hair when it’s a little wet. It does help with detangling as it says on the bottle. I like the smell, it has coconut oil so it has a light pleasant coconut scent. It’s not overpowering. It does not leave a crispy feeling in my hair which is nice. A few more things I like about this product no synthetic dyes, no silicones, no parabens. Simple the best..!

I’ve been using shampoo and moisturizer from another line of Maui products and had never used combing lotion before. My hair texture seemed dry and frizzy lately, so I decided to give this a try. It’s definitely a winner for me. I’ll be switching to this line when I need to reorder shampoo and moisturizer, too. As for this lotion, it really sets my curls with no stiffness or stickiness at all. They even look good after I’ve slept on them which is great since I’m trying to not wash my hair every day anymore. I’m so glad I tried this product.

UPDATE - I went to do a return and they rushed me another one that was not broken. Very good customer service.I have seen in a lot of reviews that the pump is broken and mine arrived the same way. You think they would make some changes to prevent this from happening??? Now I guess I have to return it, not sure if I will try again.

The consistency is smooth and not too thick. Smell is good and not too strong. It did OK for detangling. I have 4C hair and it works well for me. I used this in conjunction with Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie and it didn’t flake or get hard. My hair feels extremely soft and I would probably buy again another time.

I love this product for my daughters hair and mines. People see that it says alcohol as one of the ingredients, but never look at the type of alcohol. This is a different type of alcohol that is not drying, but it’s actually beneficial. All alcohol is not bad for the hair and skin. Please read the type of ingredients. People get one ingredient and they go bananas and start bashing this brand. I’ve been using this for a while, I used to get it from my local Walmart, but they’re always sold out now.
