EXCELLENT in every way!
I have been using Sara Meeks's original edition of Walk Tall for many many years, and found it so helpful. I have to say though that the new edition is much better. There are way more exercises and types of exercise, and there is lots of helpful, sensible, down to earth information about osteoporosis. The exercises start out so simple that practically anyone can do them, and yet after doing these exercises I feel so much stronger, straighter (!!!!) and am filled with energy. I usually spend 15-30 minutes each morning, and find there is enough variety that I can do different things on different days, which makes it much more fun. After exercising I feel as though my body just floats upward by itself - standing straighter feels so good! I love the balance and walking exercises - am finding that I can walk farther than I have in years. Also there are exercises with resistance bands, foam roller, etc. etc. All good!According to my physical therapist, Sara Meeks is a real authority in this area (osteoporosis) and I intend to stick with and grow with this exercise program to help maintain my posture, strength and (hopefully) bone density as the years go by - and hopefully without drugs.Well worth every penny!

AWESOME EXERCISE BOOK
I am a physical therapist who integrates yoga into my treatment plans. I recommend this book to nearly all my clients- young and old. I have done all the exercises and feel they give a terrific all around workout for the whole body. This is not aerobic conditioning so just know that from the get-go. This is an excellent, well written, comprehensive program for spinal health and overall strength. Far too often, people overdo it with exercise and tend to miss the more subtle aspects of proper alignment. These exercises help correct poor posture and bad habits in a gentle but deep way. Even young people without significant spinal/posture issues can benefit from adding these exercises to their overall program a couple times a week. I truly love this book. A huge thanks to author and PT Sara Meeks for this work!

A Must For Most of Us
This is an easy to follow, thorough book for anyone who has osteoporosis, neck/back pain, poor posture, or just cares about keeping their body in good form and health. My physical therapist recommended it as I strive to strengthen my spine, sleep better, walk taller and feel better. I do have osteoporosis and was diagnosed at age 49, but my husband who suffers from migraines is using it to improve spinal alignment/posture, etc. to lessen the event of migraine headache. The pictures are very easy to mimic in this great little book so it is easy to follow. You do not need any special equipment-------just yourself and this book!

Great information but overpriced
The exercises and advice contained here are relevant, accurate, and helpful, 5 stars for that. However, this is really a pamphlet puffed up into a book -- the information is stretched out over too many pages. Also, the spiral binding is flimsy and paper is very cheap, 1 star for that. Overall, 3 stars.

Comprehensive with drawings
Comprehensive, well organized presentation that is spiral bound to boot so the book stays open to the page you want to look at as you perform an exercise. The print is rather on the small size for aging eyes although bold print is utilized in parts. Still, it would be a nice option if the book were offered in large print format as well. If you only own one exercise book, we would choose this -- in fact, we will be eliminating others we own as well as DVDs because this is so appropriate for our aging bones, posture, muscles and mental well being.

Walk Tall...surprisingly simple
Please do not be fooled by the simplicity of this book. It is a most concise compilation of the newest facts regarding Osetoporosis and I can only wish that doctors would be humble enough to learn. The directions and drawings are so very clear that anyone can improve their life with this knowledge, but like most things of this ilk, you must do them on a regular basis. I now look upon the simplicity as a joy and an incentive to do a little each day. Life has already improved. Thank you Sara Meeks.I will close with a brief reminder that people of ALL AGES and genders can improve their lives with this information. It's not for the elderly alone. It's not for someone you know, it's for YOU.

Worth the money!
I didn't have the 1st edition of this book so it was all new to me and I thought it very helpful regarding bone loss. Not only does it have good exercises but also helpful advice about better ways to stand, walk, sleep, lift heavy things, etc. Also good advice on other exercise methods such as Pilates, Yoga, Gyms and using weights and gym equipment. Well written and different from other books I've read about bone loss. Also, the spiral book makes it easy to do the exercises and look at the instructions and pictures. I think the book is worth the money, I learned a lot from it.

Worth Every Penny
Like most 50 year old's, I am starting to feel the effects of mid-life aging. I've been going to a physical therapist on and off for several years and have been very impressed with the effectiveness of doing PT exercises. This book has a lot of the same exercises but in a handy, easy to follow format. Not only that but the tips for daily living are extremely useful and address virtually every situation. Love this book. I also really like the spiral format. Makes it very easy to use. Can see myself using it for many years to come.
