This 24" x 36" drawing board is the largest I've ever seen. It's solid and sturdy, yet lightweight. I like to draw on a pretty large scale, and have a ream of very fine 24" x 36" paper. The board is perfect.

I am an artist of many mediums --- and I ordered this board in April 2020 when I made the leap into watercolor. I've owned plenty of the student grade boards since college when I put the 18"x18" size to use for my drawing classes. Part of my leap into watercolor involved going to a large scale --- and it is a MUST that the paper be adhered to a hard surface with masking tape. That's where I got stuck... I had NO idea it would be so difficult to find an artist's masonite board made large enough to stretch 24"x36" Fabriano paper. At first, I thought the price was a **bit** steep (especially since some reviews complained about that), so I spent a couple days in an unnecessary online hunt. Yes, a few other sites had this product for less money, but the shipping cost was more than the item. I found this for $22 but the shipping would cost an extra $60! By that point, I was happy, nay, exuberant to order this from Amazon (free shipping!) I can vouch for its quality, and I would highly recommend this board to artists of any skill level. The curved indentation is handy for carrying, yet it doesn't obstruct any part of the surface. It's able to be used on a table or propped up on a sturdy artist easel (the size and quality = weighty, so don't place on an aluminum tripod). Also, the rounded edges are great design / safely element; if the edges had sharp right angles, either the board or the owner (ouch!!) would eventually be damaged. I also appreciate the simplicity of its design, metal clips are okay on smaller, cheaper boards--- but for my purposes, any metal hardware would literally get in the way and reduce surface area. Thankfully, no issues with masking tape tearing away the board material --- and that has happened to me with cheaper surfaces. I've had this board for 8 months now and it has paid for itself in terms of the paintings it has helped me create.

I ordered the SPM20, which is shown in 2 other sizes, 1 of which is available here. the actual dimensions of the board are 19"x25.7"x0.2". it is very sturdy; lightweight, and allows very little flexing. a few reviewers are roasting this product for being smaller than 20x26, but the size is perfect to reinforce a soft sided 20x26 portfolio, or as a drawing board for artwork of 18x24. also, if you don't like stickers then flip it over and use it--it's not a clipboard--it doesn't have a top or bottom side! in addition, taking off stars because the board arrived damaged is ignorant--the product was not poor; the shipping was! why are reviewers telling shoppers that the board is only 2 or 3 stars because the carrier mishandled it? they should be rating the SELLER, not the product! if you want a clipless drawing board, I would definitely recommend this board. I bought a second one.

Just as described and arrived quickly

The board arrived with no carrying case as pictured on Amazon this is clearly deceptive and misleading and does not deliver the value advertised.

I purchased three of these drawing boards for my grandchildren for outdoor art projects. I wanted something with a handle for carrying but without metal clips. These boards have worked out perfectly. They are light enough for the children to carry around, and large enough to be useful for drawing on large sheets of paper. They fit the bill perfectly!

I bought this for jigsaw puzzles. It’s a great size to spread out all the pieces and have room for the puzzle too. It was nice to sit on my bed after my kids were asleep and work on a puzzle and then when I was done I just slid it under the bed away from my 3yo prying eyes 😂

This smooth, flat drawing board is great for larger sized drawings, although beware, the actual size really is 23" x 35" and not 24" x 36" as listed. More than one buyer has discovered this after receiving their board in the mail, including me. This isn't a problem for me since I'm working with 22" x 30" size paper, but if you are working with size D (24"x36") paper, this board is just a little short on the sides.
