Elegantly presented guilty pleasure
Beautiful photographs, surprisingly entertaining text, pure fantasy for ordinary folk like me. I found it on Amazon at a great sale price and tooka chance because many great photographers have worked for Vogue. It's not a wedding planning book; it's crammed full ofgorgeous creations by well known fashion designers, worn by super models, celebrities, royalty. Some of the weddings photographed are real; some areflights of fancy created for the pages of Vogue. The text accompanies the large, mostly full color photographs, and I love the descriptions of"simple" weddings in a villa by the sea or a medieval church in the woods. Includes historical photos as well as more recent brides. Depending on thereader's point of view, it is very good----or very disappointing---that it was published preKim and Kanye but both Kates(Middleton and Moss) are included. I hope there will be an updated edition which will include equally glamorous and fanciful same sex weddings.

Where's Waldo for POC Folks
The cover came in damaged right before I gifted it as an engagement party present so I'm super disappointed. However, even an imperfect cover doesn't take away from the fact that the book really sucks with diversity?? 99% of the book was straight, white and blonde, it was a BIG task and took a lot of energy to find any people of colour. The foreword was by Vera Wang for crying out loud but in my brief time with the book I could not find any asian models?? Like god forbid any non-cis, non-white, and non-straight were published. I really should have read the reviews and not ordered this so hastily--if you are reading this in 2023, save your money.

This book is beautiful, but it lacks any diversity
I bought this book to use as inspiration for my upcoming wedding - I love many of the storied Vogue photographers and their iconic bridal imagery. It's a large coffee table book with full-page printed photographs, and it was enjoyable to flip through to see fantasy weddings and bridal gowns in such a large scale. This book was published in 2012. It features over 350 pages of content, primarily photographs from approx 200+ real weddings of socialites, movie stars, models, etc. This book only contains 3 images of black brides - 1 of which was a vintage Vogue illustration on the first bleeder page, 1 was a model for a magazine spread, and 1 was a real wedding image that was on the final page after the index. There were no features of real LGBT brides, only one staged shoot for the magazine. The most diversity in this book was featuring some Spanish and South American weddings and one Moroccan bride. I'm not surprised that Vogue and the fashion industry are not diverse, but it is disappointing to say the least.

Beautifully presented Wedding dress book
Ever since I married in August 2014 I have been slightly obsessed with wedding gowns. I purchased this book to fulfill the wedding fantasy of beautiful gowns and this book did not disappoint.Lovely pictures showing beautiful, elegant, modern and unusual gowns from royalty to designers to high society.A great addition to anyone's library who has an interest in all things 'wedding' related.
