Mundo Feliz - Organic Dried Pitted Prunes 2 x 500 g

I was put off by the reviews, but I am pleased with the product. Since the rapseed oil is organic, I'm presuming it is cold pressed, since organice rapseed oil generally seems to be cold pressed... The prunes are flavorful, and whilst they are small, hard and chewy, I would expect a natural, organice product of this type to be like this. The smallness of the prunes makes them seem convincingly organnic to me, since I wouldn't expect organic prunes to be massive!! Also, I do dehydrate my own plums and prunes, so I do know that natural, dehydrated fruits are exactly hard and chewy. Dehydrated fruits are called 'fruit leathers' for a reason!! Overall, I'm really pleased with these prunes. They are reassuringly different from the pottasium sorbated prunes on the Highstreet. They are small , flavorful, leathery and chewy, and they seem to me to be like more like naturally, dehydrated fruit leathers than other prunes. Yum. (My 6 year old and 9 year old kids both prefer the Highstreet prunes, however, so these prunes arn't to everyone's tatste!)

When i first tried these and knew i had 2 bags of them i was initially put off by how dried they seem and wondered what i was going to do with them, clearly they were not the soft plump juicy prunes i was used to from various brands inc crazy jacks, however as i tried more of them i noticed they do have great flavour and although a little harder at first soon become chewy and nearly finished the first bag after less than a month, they also dont have an oily/greasy covering to them that some do.Main bad point is no resealable packing, might not be on my list to get again so soon but are worth trying

Tasty, chewy stoned organic prunes and not too sweet. They can be easily diced or sliced. I was delighted to discover these as I can't bear the slushy, messy mushy sweet moisturised ones they sell in some High Street stores! Dark brown to black, with No crystallisation, they look and taste like prunes should!

Terrible. Have bought a few times, but these packs had grit, taste oily and nasty

These prunes are very nice but I only discovered after opening them that they're coated in rapeseed oil, for which I usually have zero tolerance because of the health implications of this unstable, pro-inflammatory seed oil. For this reason I won't be buying them again, which is a shame as they are otherwise an excellent product. An alternative anti-sticking agent (not that I would be bothered by stickiness anyway) is organic rice flour, used on chopped dates, for example. Why this product uses rapeseed oil, who knows, but I'll be more careful in future when buying organic fruit.

I used to buy them in subscription cos I use them in my breakfastFor last 2 orders they are very small and don't get soft even after 2 nights of soaking
