I bought these for my daughter to prep for 5th grade COGAT. These cards are awesome for low-stress practice for the types of questions they will likely see and the strategies to use. I love how each card has the answer on the back with an explanation. The format was so convenient and fun that we even took the cards out to dinner once and the whole family took turns answering questions and talking about the solutions.The one thing this format isn't great for is timing. COGAT is a timed test and so if you are concerned about timing it is probably best to also practice using a full timed test.

My fourth grade daughter needed a few more points in CogAT - to get from 93% to 95% to align with her MAP scores and qualify her for gifted classes (she is consistently the highest performer in her non accelerated classes). I did not want to stress her out with a formal class - I merely wanted her to be familiar with the test format which she hadn't seen for three years. We worked through the card deck over about three weeks, maybe twenty minutes a night for those three weeks. Did no other test prep work. Just got results - 99%! I really think these cards made the difference - once again just to familiarize with the testing style that seems so strange to many young people. It was well worth the purchase for us.

These are well made. Sturdy. Coated very well so they won't be damaged with lots of use or a liquid spill: clearly printed with great colors.The information is written well and clearly understandable by my 10 yo. She loves them as do I. Great purchase.They are great for the car too!

I received the cards as scheduled, which was fast delivery. My nine year old daughter was not happy when she opened the Amazon package to find something about school. Once we sat down and started using these cards, she didn't want to stop. The only thing I would recommend improving would be is if they are working on side A, they can see the answer to side B. Fortunately my daughtet has yet to realize this so its not that big of deal. Love the cards though, it will be a great review for her before school starts, which was my i tension for them.

Good practice for the verbal and figure based section but not challenging enough for the quantitative section based on my sons feedback.

I use these to help my 4th graders prepare for the cogat. I write down the questions on the board and have them answer them in their notebook. A few of the pictures were too difficult to draw, but otherwise I feel that these really helped my students be successful.

These flash cards are easy to use and helpful to prep for the Cogat test. My 10 year old daughter could use them by herself and I would def recommend for the price. They are not flimsy and can be used over and over again.
