Ceramic pizza stone
I’ve been looking for a ceramic pizza stone for some time now. I’m a huge foodie and even have a cooking following. Many of my friends ask me for advice on new appliances and tools for the kitchen. I have been doing reading on pizza stones and their benefits and wanted to get one for my own kitchen. Using it several times I can tell you that it makes your fresh dough crispy in a way that a regular flat plan doesn’t. Also making bread on it is useful, you let it get hot first and then apply the bread to the hot stone and it gives it the best texture. I did research and you can also cook chicken and other food items. Make sure to not wash with soap. It says it in the directions, just rinse once it cools off and you’re good. Overall I’m so happy and it fits nicely in my oven.

Great for gluten free pizza
I am a bit of a pizza snob. I'm very particular about having a crispy, but not overdone crust. This is harder to do at home, but it turns out great every time with a pizza stone. It even bakes a gluten free crust perfectly if you blind bake it first. This one is well balanced and sturdy without being too heavy to handle. It's very important to read the instructions about cleaning. If you try to soak it, it will ruin it. Thankfully, this came with detailed instructions on how to do it properly.

thin but works very well
My last stone was a rectangular one that was much heavier, so when i received this one I was unsure of whether it would work; however, I think its great! The price is low and, while thin, almost easier to use than my last one. Because my peel had not arrived, i pulled the stone from the hot oven in order to gently place my pizza over it and returning it all to the rack. Since the stone is thin, it was easy to do without burning myself. The size is perfect as well. I don't think I'll ever buy a rectangular stone again. The 15 in. is equivalent to about a med. sized pizza unless you are very good at pizza-making and have mastered a perfectly sized circle pizza..then you can easily make a large one. mine are never round and sometimes look like an oddly shaped heart but thats ok with me lol. overall, i am very happy with this purchase and would recommend

Heated my store-bought pizza evenly, good crust
I used this to cook a frozen Trader Joe's pizza the other day.I guess I didn't follow the directions exactly: I put the pizza stone into a cold oven and put it on 500F for 30 minutes. During that time, I let the frozen pizza sit on top of the oven, since the directions mention not to put a frozen pizza onto the hot pizza stone.I followed my pizza box directions of 425F for about 12 minutes after I put the pizza onto the stone. It came out great and evenly heated, better than how I used to heat them up with just a baking pan. The crust was very good.I'm excited to try making my own pizza from scratch, will update how that goes.I forgot to sprinkle my stone with some flour, and I let the burnt on stuff dry onto the stone. My bad. It was not easy to clean afterward so you'd need to scrape off the food residue right away to make the cleaning process easier.

Excellent buy! Would buy again.
We love it!!!Bought this as a Christmas gift 2020 for my husband ... we've been making pizza every Friday ever since. Does not add any added flavor to what you cook on it. Durability is good but you still have to be careful as it is ceramic and can crack . The thickness is very good, has a little weight but not overwhelming . Max temp tried on was 500 degrees. Also I think from all other reviews all pizza stone have a slight smell when you preheat them... this does have a slight odor but it dissipates after a few minutes. Not overpowering at all.I if needed to I would buy again ... I recommend you give it a try .

The stone shattered into 5-6 pieces while it was in the oven at 475 degrees!
I had originally purchased another pizza stone with a very high rating from Amazon, but unfortunately on the day it was supposed to be delivered I got an email from Amazon stating the item was out of stock!!! I contacted Amazon by phone and the associate apologized and she recommended this pizza stone which supposedly had high ratings. When I received the stone, there appeared to be a VERY FINE hairline crack measuring approximately 4” in the middle of it. Since it was not chipped or any other imperfections on it, I thought it was a “natural cosmetic imperfection” and I did not return it. The first time I used the stone for baking pizza, it started smoking some while heating up and after the pizza was ready, it was stuck to the stone and it took me awhile to use the scraper getting the pizza off the stone. Meanwhile the pizza broke into pieces. When we tried to eat it, it had a strange “smoke” odor to it. 2 days later when I tried to bake pizza again, my teenage daughter told me she heard a loud noise from inside the oven (which was set at 475 degrees). When I opened the oven door, I noticed the pizza stone had shattered into 5-6 pieces. Since the pizza was stuck to the stone again, it took almost 20 minutes trying to get the pizza off the shattered pieces of stone. By then almost half of the crust was burnt and dry as bone!Maybe I should have returned the stone immediately after noticing the “hairline crack” when I received it. The hairline crack does not explain the smoke coming out of the stone and the bad smoky odor that it left on the pizza. Also, I don’t understand why the pizza was sticking to the stone! I never had this issue with my old pizza stone which I had for almost 20 years, but unfortunately my daughter dropped it on the kitchen floor by accident which led me to purchase a new stone. This stone was more expensive than some of other stones on Amazon, but I purchased it because of recommendation by Amazon representative! Very poor decision and I would not buy this stone again!

Make my pizza so much better!
Saw a buddy that had one like this and he make the best pizza. Now I have one I can say it's all about the heat it holds inside it. My NY pizza last night was just right and this stone is worth every penny. THe right size for my pies, I added cornmeal on top of a sheet and rolled the pizza off on to the stone with also had a bit of corn meal on it as well. I have seen stones for more money but cant see them being any better than this one.UPDATE: LOVE IT more!!! its 90 so I went to use this on the BBQ to make pizza from raw dough. so much better then the oven. place some cornmeal on after it heated up and you will have the best crust you ever had!
