Murder Mystery Party, Death by Chocolate, A Decadent Murder Mystery Party Game, for Ages 14+

We played this game at our family reunion! It was a hit!! So many laughs and memories!! We will do another one next year. At first, we saw the script and it looked difficult but it’s not difficult at all!! I also ordered the photo props!!

Love this one! Have to have 6 or more players.

This was difficult to actually play out. I found that there’s some serious issues with the directions. First of all, there’s no mention of how to obtain the video which is vital for this. I had to Google and comb through YouTube to find the video. It’s too bad that they seem like they haven’t updated the instructions to bring it to the Year that we’re actually in. Clearly, at some point, this was a DVD in a box back in the 2000s or even late 90s. I hope that this company continues to innovate make new games and make sure that they’re up to modern expectations as far as the directions.The dialogue could have been better along with providing some more background details for each character.I love the idea of these games and actually feel like with a little bit more effort. These could be amazing.Warning potentially a spoiler. But very minor if at all!Worth playing, but truth be told without giving it away. It was a little too predictable.

Can’t wait to play it!

We played Death by Chocolate for a birthday party. We all had so much fun with everyone getting into character. This was the first time with this brand and was not sure what to expect based on other review. We were short a player and it still worked out perfectly. I highly recommend this game.

I needed a game for a large group

Just received. I’m not terribly impressed with the monochromatic contents, or the oversized box (the box is the shiniest, highest quality item), but it does look like fun for adults who like play acting. In the game itself, there are some references to characters having affairs, which I would have rather not have included. I like that the planner tells you which characters to cut out if you have one or two people fail to show up. For anyone confused about where the DVD is in the box (I’ve seen that comment in reviews for other episodes of this game), this product has been updated. The videos are now online. The link is provided in the instruction book. The recipes included are quite complicated and highbrow (example: quail egg salad, leg of lamb). We will plan something easier but that still feels “fancy.”Update: in planning the evening and reviewing the online video, I’ve found an error in the video. The character on the video says that a certain character around the table has done a certain thing, when it was actually a different someone. To find out where is the error, see 6:16 to 6:26 on the online video. The two character names mentioned there seem to be mixed up.

Played this with my friends the recipes are a little dated but we had so much fun!
