only 4 natural ingredients and a top notch licorice!
I will not buy any other brand of Licorice, ever. When I used to buy this at my supermarket, I sometimes ventured into experimenting with other brands if it was out of stock. Never again. The four-ingredients list is number one reason for me. The texture is right on, the flavor is wonderful. It doesn't surprise me that I have to buy imported licorice which meets all of my criteria. Shame on US manufacturers for adding in nasties when clearly you don't need to.

Aside from packaging, it hasn't changed!
It tastes just like I remember, but I haven't had it for many years. Back when I last had it, it still came in little boxes.Anyway, I was a little concerned seeing some reviews talking about stale and hard pieces, but mine have a best by date of more than a year from the time I received it, and they are very fresh and soft.I also thought 7 ounces wasn't very much, but I somehow missed the detail about 7 servings of 11 pieces, being roughly 77 pieces per bag (i.e. if your bag is like mine, a few pieces will get obliterated, but a majority of them will be intact), so there's more per bag more than I personally expected, and, in fact, it might actually be the original amount from many years back, but I'm not sure. It's a bit expensive, but it always has been. I personally find it's worth it for a rare, quality treat. I do miss the box they used to come in, but that's just a personal nostalgia thing.

Soft, deep licorice flavor, hard to stop eating. Not especially chewy if that is what you prefer but excellent licorice product.

Delicious old-fashioned black licorice. Chewy but soft. I can taste the molasses in it.

More licorice flavor please
Good candy. Chewiness was satisfying. Expiration date was May 2027 which is great. Lots of molasses flavor but NOT enough licorice flavor for my taste. In fairness, it only has 4 healthy ingredients so I can’t really compare it to other licorice candies.

Mild licorice flavor
If you like a mild licorice flavor this one is for you (heavier on the molasses profile). Four ingredients is great; no added garbage. Nice chew without being leathery.
