Just beautiful leather, soft enough, and with good body to it. It comes with the 3 different inserts they described plus an extra one. Cute stamp-like stickers included to add to the inserts. It is a great small size for those who travel often and don't like to carry around much weight. It has everything that I expected and more (the 2 plastic inserts that midori notebooks don't include with the actual notebook). The only con I saw was the metal clip. I don't think I will be even carry it around. I don't need in this in a travel notebook. I was a little disappointed when I removed it as it left a mark in the beautiful leather. But was happy to see that after rubbing it off with the fingers it slowly disappeared (almost). The leather strap that makes it close is not as hard to close as some other buyers describe. You do need to play with it a little bit perhaps the first 2 times, but it's not a big deal to me at all.Just love it, great product for this price. I have ordered the additional refills and I was sent one ruled and one black in the package. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that those who enjoy watercolors while traveling will be able to use them on the blank refill of this notebook. I tried mine and the paper, although not watercolor paper, it does not bleed through.

I love this high quality notebook. Mine is rust-red. I'm a guitarist/songwriter, and I wanted a flexible and sturdy pocket sized notebook that I could carry with a pen in my gig bag so I could write down song ideas easily anywhere I go.I got this after looking at pretty much ALL of the passport sized genuine leather notebooks on Amazon. I'm very particular about things that I own and I look for high quality things with great designs that I can use for a long time. It is made with genuine leather and smells lovely. You can see how the brass clip leaves the mark on the leather. There was another one just like this that I considered, but with an elastic band and a round brass hook by Robrasim. But, I chose this one because I want the book to lay on a flat surface when I write, and also because I wanted to see the bright red color inside the book cover. There were other ones with brighter red than this but they had embossed finishes, which I didn't want. The brass hook would probably make the left side of the book uneven when the book is opened. I saw the 3:27 long video review by Tinfoot. He says the band is too tight to go through the band loop. But, I think his was one of a few ones that are like that. Mine does not have any problem, and I don't see anyone else mentioning the same issue. I also like how I can keep a pen together with the book with the aid of the belt. Once the book is closed with the belt in the belt loop the pen stays in.It came in the nice cloth pouch and one lined refill book in a box. The packaging is great so it's perfect for a gift. It also comes with a replacement elastic band in the plastic pouch inside the book. It's a really well-thought-out product. Once I use up all the books I'll get more refills with different colors, monthly planner, etc. How cool is that you can customize your own notebook!I'm very excited about this purchase!

Beautiful little book, good quality real leather but does scratch easily as previous reviews have mentioned. The first thing I did was take the clip off, and accidentally left a scratch on the cover. Better suited for stationary use than for life in a purse or bag.

I received what I ordered but was disappointed. I wanted to use this as a wallet and my credit cards did not properly fit in the plastic sleeve. The closure is a disaster and the brass ? (Don't know what they are called) things sticking out of the bottom of the book are annoying and in the way. The product was delivered quickly and I did get what I ordered thus the 3 stars. If I had this in my hand in a store, I would not have purchased it but that is my personal opinion. It did not fit my need

I bought 5 of these in the rust red as gifts for men. beautiful. really just beautiful. Small and compact so easy to fit into my smallish purse, and the leather is amazing. And it doesn't look/feel girly so so my friends really liked them. I would definitely buy these again as gifts. I'm actually trying to think of a reason to buy more just because these things are so darn nice and well worth the cost. Definitely recommend.

The style caught my eye when searching for "fancy notebooks". I was looking for a nice looking notebook that wouldn't be worthless once I ran out of pages. With this I can carry around a beautiful notebook and use it for my everyday use and once I finish with my story or drawings I could replace the pages and keep the old memories aside while having the same notebook I love by my side.12/12 stars

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, and he absolutely loves it. The different types of paper and all the little details and features of it are perfect. The leather is good quality and sturdy but also soft. It fits in a (big) pocket as well! I thought it had gotten lost in the mail when I ordered it, but it was tucked away in my house by someone else accidentally. I had contacted the company to possibly track it down, and they were also willing to replace the item. Amazing customer service, I'll definitely be buying from them again!
