bottom diameter about 6.5 inches, inside depth about 3.25 inches

Does this wok have a flat bottom?

Yes, and this wok is fabulous. Also love the helper handle.

Can you deep fry with this? I.e. General Tso chicken?

You can if you want to put that much oil in it. Personally, I would be hesitant. A wok doesn't have a very large base of support and can tip easily. I wouldn't want one full of hot oil on my stove. I would deep fry in a dutch oven and then transfer to the wok for finishing.

How good is it for the old school electric COIL stove? Will it take a long time to cook unlike using the same wok on gas stove?

Hi VC Pro... Although I have the glass top stove and have not used the T-fal Wok on the coil burners, I believe it will work on them The bottom of the wok has about a 3-1/2 inch wide circumference that is flat. I took a photo of the wok bottom but I don't see any way to attach it to the Amazon response. Personally though, I do believe this wok will work for you.
