I LOVE this machine! Quiet, efficient, and effective - I don’t know what more to say.Set-up took seconds and I’ve been using distilled water even though the mfr says it isn’t necessary. I just prefer using a cleaner choice.I know some people are unhappy about the blue light but, to be honest, I have no issue with this. In fact, I find it soothing & helpful when I need to get around in the dark.But here’s the craziest result - besides me not waking up with itchy, dry skin anymore. My 17 year old cat refuses to sleep away from it. I guess she’s also appreciating how soothing the mist feels. Crazy!Anyway, I plan on buying another one to use in the family room. This humidifier is terrific and I am so happy I decided to try this brand/model.

Had this humidifier less than a month but after years of various room humidifiers I can finally say someone developed a perfect model. We have a large bedroom at 15*18 but also a large master bath off where door is open most of the time. The humidity hovered close to 32 before buying humidifier and has brought that up to above 40 average and it's on the opposite side of the room form humidity indicator, as far away as you can get it. It's very quiet, has a night setting to turn all indicator lights off, has a top fill container that has huge opening and holds tons of water that lasts through the night and next day on high setting but its so easy to take a few pitchers and fill it that you don't care when it gets low. Assuming it lasts it really is the best humidifier, by far, I've had.

My Majesty Palm was declining rapidly. As soon as this wonderful humidifier was activated, my Majesty Palm ceased to decline. In addition, I notice that the air in the room seems fresher. The only thing is you have to use distilled or purified water, of which, thankfully, I happened to have a few bottles stored. It will take one entire gallon of water at a time and goes for hours. I like the quietness of it and the functionality cannot be beat.

Pro's: One of the methods of filling the tank by just pouring water into the top slot w/o having to remove it from the base is a really nice perk. It's really quiet. Looks cool. So far, 3 weeks, it's working as expecting.Con's: I know the water is disappearing from the tank 'cause I keep filling it every day but my hydrometer, which I'm very accustomed to using, indicates that I need to run it on high setting 24hrs/day to maintain around a 30% humidity level..which is all I'm shooting for. The room is around 144 sq feet. So, I question how efficiently the "engine" works. Also, I'd prefer the control button not be flush to the surface and had a push button response so I know that I've hit it. Half the time, I'm clicking all around the button as it's white surrounded by a white background..lol And lastly, seems like nobody knows where the max fill level is as we were no doubt all thinking it would be a line etched on the water storage container..it isn't. I'll save you a lot of time by revealing the secret. There's a little plastic tab(ledge) on the left side of the water input slot(facing device) :-)Net net, those are little inconveniences compared to the simplicity of filling it...Will keep it...Hope it lasts........

ETA: The plastic seams cracked in 2 holes evident, leaking water. I am going to file the asurion claim, we paid extra for, in the morning to have another one of these sent. It still soaks the flooring but our allergies are flaring up again in major ways with the weather changes. We had bronchitis and searched endlessly for a cool mist humidifier to replace our starry night one's from Vicks that are notorious for leaking. Needless to say we chose this one and the water level capacity, top loading is so easy to fill and use, lasts on speeds for approximately a day and evening before a refill. The cap does adjust to move the flow of the mist output. You can also remove the underside of the cap and the mist flow tends to not fall downwards so rapidly. Now, this is the best humidifier I've ever owned for providing moist air, easiest to use and then there is the damaging side. Regardless on what speed of output we have used (tap 1, tap 2 or tap 3) the mist released flows rapidly, say over the bed sheets, then we moved the nozzle over to another location, larger area and it doused the carpet flooring. The moisture "bleeds" down the unit and over the glass end table we have it on. The starry night cool mist does it's job to keep our air purified and a tad moist but this one literally can fill your room with moisture to help us breathe, the risk benefit ratio. I didn't return it because we will be getting new flooring soon yet if you have flooring you care about I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SPECIFIC HUMIDIFIER. The delivery was quick and it's easy to use. Maybe we just received a bunk unit? Good luck

This thing puts out!!!No sicko, I don’t mean that! I mean it put a lot of humidity in the room. I have a whole house humidifier but even with that we were having trouble getting humidity above 50% in our home.We bought this humidifier to supplement that to push us closer to 65% which is the recommended range of humidity.Oh it did that. We set it up and turned it on, cranked it up and left to do some grocery shopping. When we came home a couple hours later there was a haze in the air and then looked at our humidistat we were at a 90% humidity. We had to crank this damn thing down because it was so humid it was hard to breath. Once turning it down we settled on 75% in the house because that is when the haze subsided. We are only running this thing at half power and maintaining 75%.Anyway it works cleans well and I really like the ability to fill it from the top and not having to remove the tank.Buy it you won’t regret.
