Maglite Solitaire Incandescent 1-Cell AAA Flashlight Black

Purchased two 2️⃣ based upon prior Maglite ownership for our EDC 🔑 keychains. Excellent/Highest Quality Maglite construction and promises years of trouble free use. Lite in weight and fits nicely on key 🔑 chain as an EDC - see accompanying photo with size comparison beside a two D cell Maglite. 🔦 BUT, twist to ‘turn on’ can be irksome/not easy to use and slow. the steady beam of the incandescent light 💡 is a bit yellow but satisfactory illumination up to approximately 3+ meters. This is NOT a TACTICAL FLASHLIGHT. But, consider that this is a single AAA battery 🔋flashlight 🔦 and all is forgiven. You will probably own and use this for 10+ years so overall an excellent value. Guessing that many years from now you will look at this flashlight 🔦 on your key 🔑 chain and say ‘I can’t believe how long I’ve owned this.’ Quality has a price. 💰 UPDATE: Purchased two 2️⃣ additional Maglite Solitaire BUT in the LED version. Same quality and design but with a whiter albeit wider beam. Both incandescent and LED are excellent and have found a home on our key 🔑 rings.

I was looking for a small and lightweight light for my upcoming trip to Anza Borrego where we plan to got for a night trek. Also I wanted a light to try some light painting and some other kind of trick photography. I had heard about the Maglite but had never used any of their lights. Mostly because they are insanely priced. I thought its the best time to try a Maglite which is not very expensive and will serve the dual purpose. Just to clarify many questions, its NOT LED. The light is incandescent. Also many people have asked how many batteries it takes. It takes only one AAA battery and a Duracell AAA battery is supplied with this light. Another feature I liked was the extra bulb provided in the cap. Its a little tricky to get it out of the housing (you need to press the spring in and then pull it out). Innovative !!!! The good features: 1. Made of goos quality steel which feels sturdy and durable 2. The beam is pretty strong for a light that takes only one AAA battery 3. Can be easily focussed or used for a diffused light 4. The lanyard supplied with it is of very good quality and can be used to attach the light to bag, etc.. 5. Extra lamp is supplied in the cap 6. The front part can be unscrewed completely to turn it in to a candle light mode for use during camping etc.. 7. Life time warranty by the manufacturer 8. The specifications dont provide the weight. I would say it weighs about 20-25 grams with batteries and lanyard included. The bad: Nothing at all !!! Although I wish it were a little longer and could take two batteries. At this price, I would definitely recommend this light for general purpose and for those who repeatedly need to switch on and off their lights during trekking/hiking. !!!!!!!!!! If you need a very bright light that lasts extended periods, spend about twice as much and get an led.I have been using these exact lights for about 30 years. They used to give them away as rewards for Salem cigarettes in the 90s. I personally use these lights for night fishing. They are easy on & off and I can hold it in my mouth, yes that’s what I said. They give off enough light to get a fish off of hook or tie a knot. I am in my 50s so eyes not so great. Many places I fish are outlaw so I don’t want a huge bright light. They are enough to get me through the woods in a black night. Beam is adjustable and the top comes off for a lantern effect. This is no light for hiking, late night dog walks or spotting deer, but it’s size and light are perfect for me and others who may have like tasks. They are quality made in USA and usually last until I lose it. Kids love them too, mine have been taking them from me for years.

This is a small flashlight that has a bright light!!! It is great for finding stuff that rolls under the couch or bed. It fits nicely in a drawer or in the car. Just when you need some light.

This is not an LED lite. I just assumed it was when i bought which was a mistake on my part. That said its nice little lite i have used a couple times already while outside in the dark walking my dog and being able to focus and spread the lite was nice. Overall its a nice small EDC key chain lite that does the job.

Guess I was expecting a little too much from this little light. Being from the Mag Instrument family I was hoping for just a little more light than it puts out. I bought this as a power failure / breaker blows need to find the breaker box and/or my battery lantern sort of light. In complete darkness it works okay. Outdoors it's no use at all. For a light to keep in a drawer to find bigger lights or get to the breaker panel it will work alright, but as a real flashlight it's not gonna cut it. First of all, and I realize it doesn't say anything on the package but I was kinda figuring that it would be LED. But it's their standard micro filament bulb. Second, the bazel isn't wide enough to give that little bulb any room to put out light. Now let me be clear here, I wasn't expecting the light from a 5 cell maglight here...but I was hoping for a few lumens. Candles put out more light than this does so unless your illuminating something less than 18" away or just using it to navigate to a larger light this doesn't have a wide variety of uses.

At only 2 lumens, this incandescent Maglite Solitaire flashlight is an order of magnitude less bright than newer designs, including the latest 47-lumen LED version of the Solitaire. But sometimes a much dimmer light is exactly what you want, for example to look for a dropped object in the car or read a map at night without blinding the driver, or to provide close-up illumination when you're looking through a magnifier to identify a tiny electronic part at your workbench. Just don't leave an alkaline battery in the Solitaire and then forget it in a drawer for several years, because the old battery will leak and ruin the flashlight, which is why I recently had to buy a replacement. Think I'll keep an Energizer Ultimate lithium battery in this one. Update Nov 2019: Despite owning dozens of higher-output flashlights, I have just ordered my fourth incandescent Maglite Solitaire in the last two years because I keep finding more applications for low-level, close-up illumination. I keep one incandescent Solitaire in each car so my passenger can look through a bag or read a map during night drives without blinding the driver, I keep one at my workbench to provide close-up lighting for working on small parts, and I take one on camping outings to provide low-level lighting in the tent or for finding my way to the bath house without disturbing other campers. And of course, you should always have a spare, so maybe I will order a fifth incandescent Solitaire. Yes, I also carry a higher-output light for when 2 lumens is not bright enough for the job, but for many situations, I find that the classic incandescent Maglite Solitaire produces just the right amount of light.

Je l'ai achetée pour mon fils qui l'utilise beaucoup dans le cadre de son travail (il travaille souvent de nuit). Petite et légère, elle se glisse facilement dans une poche de pantalon ou de chemise. Elle éclaire parfaitement une zone relativement importante à une vingtaine de mètres. Elle est livrée avec une pile de type AAA et une mini sangle avec anneau pour le transport (à accrocher à un porte-clés, par exemple). De plus elle a un beau look et est étanche. Le tout pour un prix très raisonnable. Il en est totalement satisfait.

La compre para completar el kit de una navaja multiusos Suiza que vende el estuche para la pequeña linterna y la navaja. Es bello y práctico conjunto. Avisar que es una linterna "tradicional": pila, bombillas incandescentes (viene una de repuesto) y por ello no ilumina como las de Led.

Ich wollte eine kleine Taschenlampe die NICHT stark leuchtet und nicht blendet zum Ausleuchten des Nahbereichs. UND sie sollte eine einzige AA oder AAA Batterie verwenden, so dass ich meine aufladbaren Batterien verwenden kann und es keine teure Knopfzelle braucht. Gesucht und gefunden. Perfekt und glücklich! Mein Anwendungsfall: Abends vorm Schlafen gehen, wärme ich mir gerne mein Lavakissen in der Mikrowelle. Um die Zeit mittels Drehrad einstellen zu können OHNE das grelle Deckenlicht einschalten zu müssen, wollte ich eine kleine Taschenlampe. Ich hatte mir eine andere gekauft, die so stark leuchtete, dass sie im Nahbereich extremst blendete. Für meinen Verwendungszweck nicht brauchbar! Diese hier ist dafür perfekt und das Licht ist auch angenehm gelblich und nicht unangenehm bläulich. Wer einen ähnlichen Anwendungsfall hat, wird damit glücklich sein. Wer allerdings eine Taschenlampe sucht um den Fernbereich gut auszuleuchten, wird hiermit keinesfalls glücklich. Demjenigen empfehle ich die "OLIGHT I3E EOS Mini LED Schlüsselanhänger Taschenlampe 90 Lumen und 44m Reichweite, AAA Batterie". Preis ca. gleich wie diese Mag-Lite. Größe sogar noch kleiner.
