My husband bought these for me for my birthday and it was not only a thoughtful and wonderful gift but also good quality tea. You may need a small bit more than it suggests if you plan to add milk or another substance but it is quite good on its own too! The smell of the tea alone makes me excited to use it!

I got this as a gift for my husband who is a big tea enthusiast and he loved it. The look is beautiful , so you sample visually as well if that makes sense :) I am not much of a tea person myself but even I thought this box was so cool. All these different tins, all different nice smelling teas. I even tried couple of them. Definitely recommend this.

Wonderful tea

Preface: This item was a gift, and as such, some of the 'first-hand' account is based on feedback from the recipient and not myself.It's hard to rate this item. On the one hand, it had a very large variety of tea. It was handled with care and packaged amazingly. It really did bring the 'wow' factor in terms of presentation. On the negative side, I should have been more careful in my considerations. I didn't know what the recipient might like or dislike in depth, so I thought I would go with a mixed gift like this. He was very happy and excited to receive it! But as time went by, it became apparent that quite a few were mixed with polarizing spices like turmeric. I do believe this to be a mistake on my part due to ignorance of teas, especially Indian teas. I do genuinely feel that this would make a lovely gift for many people. But it was a 50% miss for my recipient due to the fact that many of the teas felt 'old' and as such, not very potent. On top of that, many were chai or mixed with strong spices. I believe it would be a hit for people that have stronger ties to India and its specific tastes, but not all of the teas as made for even people just one generation removed from India. I think my grandmother-in-law, being from India, would love this tea but not my husband.TL;DR: It is a great set, but I would caution buyers to consider the fact that Indian teas are not going to be right for everyone. Make sure the receiver is a fan of chai, spiced, white, black, etc. It's not a set for everyone, but it is one hell of a set! One star off for the leaves being a little old.
