Minute White Rice, Instant White Rice for Quick Dinner Meals, 72-Ounce Box

Minute Rice has been a pantry staple since I was a kid. I keep it on hand for quick sides or mix ins for dinners and for anytime my dog has a tummy upset and needs rice to make him feel better quick. Huge box for the price, high quality, and easy to make. Box was sealed and rice fresh, keeps for ages but I so switch it over to a jar with a sealed lid to prevent spoilage.

I have used Minute Rice for years and I love it. This was a HUGE box for a great price so awesome value. I use it in casseroles and a Swedish meatball recipe but also as a side. I have added cheese to it and even use beef onion soup with it to make a yummy side dish. I like it plain with butter and salt, too. It is easy to fix and always turns out well. I have cooked with regular rice and I always end up with a sticky, tasteless mess as I am impatient so Minute Rice is a much better choice for me.

I'm so glad that I found these bigger boxes of Minute Rice online! We eat a lot of rice & my local store hasn't had these big boxes since the pandemic started, so I have had to buy a smaller box for about the same price. Minute Rice is easy to prepare & tastes great every time. It's ratio is 1cup liquid to 1 cup rice. I usually use canned broth or soup, but water or homemade broth works well too. My family's favorite chicken & rice recipe was right on the box & uses Campbell's Cream of Chicken soup. The rice quality is good & I have never had any issues with bugs or anything - occasionally, the box can leak some rice if it wasn't glued shut completely, but some masking tape on the seams or pouring it into a covered storage container solves that. I will say that I was surprised that whoever packed my order put all 5 boxes of rice along with 5 of the 1 pound boxes of pasta & a few other items. It was a large heavy box & my poor mailman had trouble getting it out of his small mail truck. There was also some leaky boxes of rice, because he left a trail of rice from inside the truck, down my sidewalk & into my kitchen. It was quite comical. It looked like the heavy boxes were moving around inside the big shipping box & that's why the rice (& some noodles) leaked into the big box & the rice was small enough to leak outside the shipping box too. Amazon did give me a discount when I made them aware that the trail of rice was probably even longer through it's journey than my witnessed trail. My mailman definitely would've preferred multiple boxes with such a heavy order. We had a good laugh at it though. I definitely recommend trying Minute Rice & check out their recipes - quick & easy meals that taste great too.
