ASUS TUF GeForce GTX 1660 Super Overclocked 6GB Edition HDMI DP DVI Gaming Graphics Card (TUF-GTX1660S-O6G-GAMING)

What can I say, nVidia just does it right (these days). I had to replace a Radeon card, the card was good but the software/drivers were janky and were so fussy with various video playback that I couldn't take it. I went to this 1660 Super, for about $200 shipped and it works perfectly right out of the box, no fuss, it's a smaller card, fits in my tiny case in my living room for the HTPC/Gaming box there, so compact cards win big time there. This card is fast and cool and quiet. Drivers from nVidia these days are great, you can choose to just do the driver or the geforce experience, but HDMI scaling works perfectly even with HDCP enabled. This is why nVidia wins for me. I needed a good gaming card that doesn't make it a fuss to get good media playback (cough, Radeon software, cough). Overall great compact fast budgeting gaming 1080p GPU at the $200 price point!

Ordered this card a couple weeks ago for a streaming pc I was putting together aside from my gaming crypto pc.Mind you this is the first pc I’ve built aside from modding my gaming pc .I tried the card several times trying to get video out of it I tried everything and I just could not get video out of it .I let the seller know that it was not working out for me to which they offered assistance to help me trouble shoot which I didn’t not use.Being a little hard headed I figured I could keep trying till I finally sent it back with the hope it would work and I wouldn’t have . It ended not working unfortunately myself possibly also thinking that I messed up building this pc decided to throw my 3090 in there from my gaming pc i was able to setup up windows and the whole computer perfectly fine .I dont believe the card was dead ,when I installed my 3090 it clicked in .Although the lights would turn on the graphics card just by being plugged into the mother board without psu connection.It wouldn’t fully seat itself in the motherboard and I could softly wiggle it out .So i think that my “Maximus x i i Formula “ just isn’t compatible with this card .This card could definitely work on a regular motherboard but my pcie slots have to be dug into .Still my main point in this is that they actually have very responsive customer service ,and although the card was being sold at a premium considering the times if I were really desperate to buy a card from someone I definitely would look their way just based on customer service .

Good GPU , it is really quiet , and during my benchmarks never really went past the mid 70s , the fans are also optimized , so they do not spin if there is not a load . If you have dual monitors , remember to install geforce experience or it will not recognize the second monitor .It is only been about 2 days , but so far , I am pleased with my purchase.

Ordered this for a budget build. Although this is older, I paired it up with an AMD 5600x and they work great together. I ordered the refurbed one through ReSpec. They had it packaged well and included a flyer with info about the company. GPU looked brand new and works well. This will work out fine for a couple years.

The graphics card works great, better than expected. I had a tracking number for days before the package shipped pushing the delivery date beyond the range advertised. All in all im very satisfied with the product and price

Good for budget builds

I paired this GPU with a Ryzen 5 3600 back in early 2020, and it's worked great for me. It's not worth 220$ anymore, you can find it for cheaper in other places. Performance and streaming have been great at 1080p. Nowadays I'd recommend buying a 3060 or 6600xt instead as the performance is better.

Asus will deny your rights to a waranty term as indicated on their website. I purchased this item on 16 March 2025. When I went to the Asus website to register this item, it indicated my waranty had already expired. This was unexpected, as I had purchased this item new in the box on Amazon, all seals still intact. When I contacted Asus reguarding this issue, and provided them with the purchase invoice showing it was new, and a picture of the serial number on the box. After dealing with five different people by email, with an average of over a week between responses to my emials, I was told this is all the warranty they provide when you don't purchase from one of their pre-approved vendors. Asus does not disclose this limitation anywhere I could access on their website.Asus is no longer on my list of acceptable vendors.
