Belt brace very good. Back panel not so much.
The brace is very effective, but the back panel too flimsy and not supportive. Just moves around when bending over. I decided to buy this same product, a bit cheaper without the panel. Provides enough support without the panel.very effective. pulls very strong and tight and easier to use than other cheaper back braces. I did go down a size however (waist size 30). The front belt is smaller on the small and easier to wear, although the medium has a wider band which has a bit more size/hip support, it felt too bulky. the small I can adjust well enough.Helps with my sciatica and herniated lower lumbar discs.

Life & Wallet Saver!
Highly recommend!! My Mom uses this, and is SO happy to have it. It has been such a great back support for her. A little context: my mother has lumbar displacement. She needs surgery but is not able to go under knife due to age and many other health issues. She is on multiple daily pain meds. The neurologist did prescribe her a medical grade back brace, but it had been almost a whole year and I was unable to get my hands on it. The insurance does cover it, but the DMEs that are under insurance either didn't have it or was out of stock. The one sold at the medical supply store is over $500 out of pocket; which surpasses my affordability. I have seen few similar or same-ish braces including this one online, but I was hesitant. Mom's pain had been getting worse, and the over the counter belts or simpler braces from DME wasn't helping anymore. I took the leap of faith, and bought it to give it a try. OMG!! Miracle! Mom has been way much more active and feels less pain. She is much more stable now. The only thing that is somewhat odd is...if you are a female, your breast do look weird when sitting down; it bulges up but isn't uncomfortable. For the pain relief, this is a small sacrifice.

Allow for swelling
Remember, if you need a back brace you are probably swollen. Don't go by your normal waist and hip size, go up about 3 inches, you can tighten it as the swelling goes down. Otherwise it works great.

Sizing.
Sizing was very inconsistent. According to your sizing chart, I needed XL. XL was probably 6-8 inches short. I ended up with 3XL which was 6 inches to long but I made it work. Used for after back surgery.

Confidence and Stability
I had excruciating nerve pain in my low back from bulging discs of varying degrees, one that impinged my S! nerve (verified via MRI). I had multiple injection sessions and a lumbar epidural injection. The last one made a huge difference. Still, I had pain and I was concerned that the slightest wrong move would send me back into horrible pain. I put this device on, adjusted to the lower setting, and thought it wouldn't make much difference. I was wrong! At the end of the day, the usual nagging pain was not there. I took the brace off at the end of the day and realized I felt great! Over the past week, I started to do more activities. On the days that I wear this device, my back does not get fatigued and my sciatic nerve is not irritated. When I wear it, I have more confidence to do my day-to-day activities, within reason, e.g. carry groceries, clean my home, sit at my desk for more than 15 minutes. The kind of activities I took for granted before the nerve pain. This brace is helping me get back my stamina and movement while protecting the area that is healing.

Why can't this brace stay in place?
I fractured my L5 vertebrae and am in constant pain 24/7. I wear two braces and they both are terrible. They all have to be re-adjusted every few minutes. Why in the world can't they come up with a brace that stays in place? I need this for my lower back and in a few minutes...even after tightening as tight as I can...it slides up...therefore, providing no back support whatsoever. I think I have an idea for a better brace that would stay in place....but how to get it to market is another question. I am so disappointed. I have spent money that I really don't have to waste...and none work.

Game Changer
I have a bad L4/5 disc and it hurts to ride my motorcycle, this brace is a game changer. it snugs up the spine with the pull straps and reduces the disc protrusion even when I come up short on a double.I bought 2 so I could keep one in my van if my disc bulges at work.I can't ride without it. worth every penny

Good comfortable support
If you need to wear a brace, I'll say this is fairly comfortable. The additional tightening straps are a game changer in terms of achieving maximum support. I've only had it on a couple of times so far so can't comment on durability yet.
