Quality product. Dissolved fairly quickly in denatured alcohol. Applied to my project and looks great.

Works as expected!
Just a darn nice shellac flake. It is chipped small, but clumps together in the package. I use it mainly for sealing wood projects. A fine shellac. And...if it saves you money over WoodCraft, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it... and I, myself, won't hesitate in the future either.

I'm a shellac man now!
I'm a former professional, now serious hobby woodworker. I've used every single type of wood finish there is, though for some unknown reason had never used shellac before. I really don't know why. I'll certainly be using it a lot more in the future. Since you mix it yourself you can adjust the viscosity and color as appropriate for your project. Denatured alcohol (a necessary component not included in this product) is an excellent solvent in that it has no noxious fumes, is significantly less toxic than petroleum distillates and is very easy to clean up. It also makes the product dry MUCH faster than oil based finishes. As previously stated, I don't have a lot of experience with shellac, but these flakes dissolved easily with little to no "junk" that needed to be strained out. I have no complaints. As with all finishes, multiple thin coats will give a far superior result than just globbing it on.

Helpful mixing rates table for various applications
I appreciate the mixing rates table and suggestions for various applications. I am experimenting with shellac as a 'period-correct' adhesive in some pre-war replica storage cases I build from scratch. Hopefully as a technique for authentic restoration, the case will also have the correct aroma rather than modern-day spray adhesives. Thanks for the prompt delivery.

Good, light blond color, no additives.
Dissolving the flakes in alcohol myself gives me a lighter color with no additives when compared to the hardware store products I once used. I also mix smaller quantities so my shellac doesn't get old and wasted. This was my second order of flakes.
