Excellent USB-C adapter packed with features
Bought this adapter to streamline my cable management in a new home office setup with multiple monitors and no convenient way to to remove/insert a charger constantly due to where the outlet was set up and how I planned to arrange the desk. It does absolutely everything I could ask and works like a charm. Pros: - Excellent quality on external displays and handles both with no issue - Power passthrough for your USB-C/thunderbolt charger limits # of cords entering your laptop - Classic USB input for older accessories or flash drive, great as many new laptops lack this port - Sleek design and durable metal feel - Connects displays 100% of the time, no need to refresh/unplug to get computer to recognize them - Best price on Amazon for this type of accessory by far - Excellent customer service - No issues whatsoever in 2mo of use Cons: - Uses small amount of power itself, so monitors may display a "no input" message when computer is off which can be annoying, but depends entirely on brand of monitor (and easy solution is just power them off when you close computer) Verdict: This is an excellent product 9/10 and way better than any competitors available on Amazon. Definitely recommend and definitely would purchase again.

Good product, reasonable price, many features
What I said in the video: The Utech smart USB c hub does its job flawlessly. Its build quality is premium with a nice metal body. By the way, the hub supports thunderbolt 3. I bought this for our laptop so I could charge our laptop and get a display through our one thunderbolt port. An example of this is shown in the photo with a Nintendo switch and the photo with multiple laptops. Be aware that the maximum supported power supply draw is 100W so the laptop will have to use its battery if it draws more power than this. The warning we get when we boot up our computer says that the adapter is only 65 watts instead of 100 watts. This is conflicting but this may be because we have a monitor plugged in, possibly drawing more power. I’ve encountered this but I’ve had no problems with power and battery usage at all. Utech says: “Consider the hubs' Self-consumption please use a higher work-rate charger via PD port or plug the original charger directly to your laptop” I recommend this Utech USB hub because you get a good product with many features for a reasonable price.

Almost the perfect Hub
I have been using this hub now for almost 4 months, it works perfectly for my everyday use on my MacBook Pro. I am able to charge my MacBook extend my screen to a separate monitor and use the USB for various tasks. The only flaw and reason for the 4 star review is my inability to use the second HDMI port for my desired purpose. I have 2 external monitors, my hope was that I would be able to extend my screen from not one but both monitors. To be clear, both HDMI ports work and they both transmit to a separate monitor. However, your external monitors will be recognized as a single monitor rather than 2 and they will mirror the image. For example, screen #1 is my MacBook, screen 2 and 3, my external monitors, are recognized as one displayed and the image is mirrored on both monitors so you really only have screens 1, 2 & 2 rather than screens 1, 2, 3. This was a huge component of why I bought the Hub to begin with, luckily I have a second USB-C on my MacBook and I am able to use a second USB-C to HDMI adapter to use screen 3 independently. Overall, not a bad product and would've been a great value if it worked how I had hoped and intended and didn't require me to buy an additional product.

Works Perfectly!
It's hard to find a good usb hub that actually works. I have got them before and they either over heat or there is connectivity issues... Not this one! This one works GREAT! It's not heavy, doesn't get hot, and very affordable. I give 5 stars cause it worked with my Chromebook tablet flawlessly! I recommend this for anybody with a chromebook or chromebook tablet. It also Charges your computer while it's also displaying a second screen and gives you access to a regular USB port that most computers/tablets don't have. Very pleased with this product and I would say BUY IT if your looking for something like this. It definitely helped productivity.

Great Value. Easy Install. Quality Product.
I've been using a 2nd monitor off my notebook's HDMI for a couple years now and really needed a third monitor. I got the UtechSmart 4-in-1 to hook through my Thunderbolt port. It worked without issue using both HDMI's on their device. For sh**s and giggles, I left one monitor plugged into my notebook and one in the UtechSmart and it worked that way too. I suppose if I got another monitor I could use it but for another time. I ended up connecting my Yeti X microphone into this as well so easy quick disconnect of my notebook when on the go. I have to say the quality of the construction is excellent. The wire to the thunderbolt port is thick and the casing is metal - not plastic. That really surprised me. Nice to see someone still builds something to last! I'd highly recommend. Do your homework first though like I did. Make sure you have a notebook with a thunderbolt port that will support it. (Pictures show my setup and settings in Windows 10 - Windows makes it easy with drag and drop your monitor locations for seamless mouse movements!)

Great as 2nd video port on laptop.
This was the perfect solution for adding a 2nd video output on my laptop to an older monitor. I already had a monitor connected to my hdmi port on laptop. For my 2nd video port, I connected this product to my USB-c port on laptop (that is usually connected to power supply ), then used the hdmi output on this product to a (hdmi to DVI) adapter, which I then plugged into DVI input on old monitor. The cool thing is this product has another USB-c port on it so I can charge my laptop. I did not try the functionality of this device to see if this one device would extend to two separate monitors (like Excel on one monitor and Word on 2nd monitor), I instead used this device as a 2nd video output on my laptop.

Inconsistent Signal, Not Thunderbolt... Pretty Sure It's Just USB C
EDIT: The dongle's seller has reached out to me and offered a refund. They've also asked for me to send the dongle back to look into the cause of the defect, which I will happily do. If nothing else, they are doing their due diligence in the customer support side of things. I got this for my live VJ setup, which I use to generate and modulate live music visuals for concerts and festivals. I needed a TB3 dongle that can send 2 independent HDMI outs as well as at least 1 USB 3.0. From the description of this item, it seemed perfect for my needs. But after plugging it in it started to seem pretty sus.. First problem is that it's not recognized by my laptop's thunderbolt port control center. This function works fine for my BlackMagic capture card and other thunderbolt dongles I've used. This leads me to believe that the dongle is just usb-c rather than real TB3. The 2 HDMI outputs do seem to work, and the dongle can still send power. But it cuts out a lot from my tests, and the frame rate seems inconsistent. I was unable to send a consistent HDMI output to my projector with this dongle, it would freeze every few seconds. I ended up just having to use the stock dell adapter to send a single HDMI output instead of my originally planned two. Unfortunately the unreliably makes the dongle basically unusable to me, I guess I have to return it.. If there is some set of drivers I'm missing I would be more than happy to install them, but I haven't found any such solutions. Overall, I just wish the description had be more clear. Maybe listing Thunderbolt 3 in the title was intended to mean that it's TB3 compatible, but I had excitedly believed it ment the port was actually Thunderbolt 3. Now I see it probably must have been too good to be tue....
