Best soap I’ve used
Love this soap! 1, it’s cheap. 2, it’s easy! 3, no overpowering scent. And 4, doesn’t dry out hands!!!! I was able to make 5 big bars of soap out of this. It holds color, scent, and works really well for putting like dried petals in it.

Awesome soap base
Great soap base, especially for a translucent soap. It’s easy to use and melt. The soap I made turned out great. It’s really smooth and feels great against your skin. I definitely recommend it.

I’ve used this before I love it. It works well when I make my soaps.

Good, basic soap base
This is just fine as a melt-and-pour soap base. It melts down easily and stays clear when it dries. It does sweat quite a bit when drying, even with high % alcohol applied to it, so keep that in mind. Due to the sweating I will probably buy a different variety next time, but otherwise this is exactly what it claims to be.

Great Outcome Everytime
Unscented and easy to use with essential oils to make an easy soap, even adding things like lavender for a more textured experience, works well in molds. The end product no matter what is always good and useful.

Love this stuff
I love this soap base. I cut and use it as is. Because of fragrance allergies, I've narrowed down my choices to a bare minimum, and this soap fits the bill. The only drawback was the 60% price increase. Pretty steep. I hope this will change, or maybe I can figure out a way to get in bulk. The product is perfect.

Easy enough, but what's the point?
I cut the block in half and it made 5 bars the size shown in the photos (no animal testing, just a curious puppy!). This was the first time I'd ever worked with melt & pour, as I usually make my own soaps. I added some grapeseed oil, lemon essential oil, and dried rosemary to the mix for some nice kitchen hand soap. I have to say, I wasn't super impressed, for a number of reasons. 1. The ingredients: I make my own soaps to avoid the harsh and processed ingredients that typically come in store-bought products (sodium laureth sulphate, propylene glycol etc.). This soap has a bunch of additives, including sulfates, that I like to avoid. In my opinion, it would be easier to buy pre-made bars from the store if you don't mind the added ingredients. 2. The melting process: I decided to melt the chunks in the microwave in a big plastic bowl. The soap melted easily enough, but it VERY quickly congealed, leaving a bunch of sticky, globby mess on the sides of the bowl. Maybe melting over the stove would have solved this problem, but the microwave route got messy fast, plus that congealed soap was unusable, so I lost some of it. It was also kind of a hassle to pour into the molds, because of all the stickiness. 3. The smell: This stuff is strong. If you've ever made soap before, you're familiar with that just-recently-made batch lye smell that takes over everything the lye touches. This soap base smells VERY strongly of lye. It made me a little wary to touch and use, but I didn't get burned or irritated. I added quite a bit of lemon essential oil, but not much comes through when using the soap to wash hands. It mostly just smells like strong soap. 4. Washing: I got this for hand soaps, knowing it probably wouldn't make a very skin-soothing bar. And it doesn't. It's not horrible, but the soap leaves a squeaky lye film on your hands, and my hands felt pretty dry afterward. Still, I've experienced worse, and I will still use the soaps I made from it. There are some aspects I did like about the bars of soap I made from this base: 1. The color: The glycerin is clear as advertised, and looks really neat when finished. I love the look of the herbs floating in the soap. 2. Ease of melting: It was nice to be able to break up the block and microwave (although, as I said before, it got messy). It melted really quickly, and came out a smooth consistency (what wasn't stuck to the sides). 3. The lather: I was surprised by how much lather this soap gives off. See my video for my hand-washing test. It's a nice, bubbly lather, and plenty of it, to make your hands feels super clean. In sum: I liked using this base for the ease of not having to mix lye and cure the soap bars for a month. It breaks apart and melts easily. However, I felt that the ingredients and the harsh smell defeated the purpose of DIY soap. I would rather just buy it pre-made from the store and skip the hassle altogether.

after struggling with the base soaps supplied in children DIY kits this product was a fresh breeze: melts easily, no foam and less bubbles, does not solidify in the process of pouring into the molds. For the first time making the soaps was frustration-free.
