Pentair 98600000 2010-Convertible AquaLuminator Aboveground Light and Water Return

I love this light and return system. It's so easy to install and makes the pool look good. The return is adjustable so you can direct the angle of the water to suit your needs. The color caps just click on and off. We really don't use them but we have them if we want to change it up a bit. This system is not a cheap quality system. It's very sturdy and gets the job done.

Finally got the pool filled to try this baby out. Totally impressed with the concept and it works great. I believe it actually gives better return flow than the fitting I got with my Hayward skimmer kit. The lighting is just right too for a 12 x 24 oval ag pool. Don' t forget to add all the gaskets noted for metal wall and it's all fairly easy assembly.

I ordered this a little late in the swim season and got it installed right away. I had looked up a couple videos on YouTube on installing them and it took me and my wife about 20 minutes to install it once we had everything ready...no need to even drain the pool if you have a couple extra hands to help out. Ours came with a blue and red filter...though we just like the white light. Our pool is a 15x23 foot rectangle with one inlet...and this one light illuminates the whole thing. I will try and update this review when we reopen the pool again this spring.(We have an above ground soft sided pool, but it is buried into the ground with only about 12-16 inches above ground...so we keep it full year round and treat it the same as an in ground pool)

I've owned this light for a few months now, and overall I like it. It's plenty bright enough - I use the included blue lens with mine - and installation was fairly straightforward (there are a few installation videos on YouTube which are way easier to understand than the instruction manual).Things you need to know:1) A few people have mentioned the switch on this light failing after only moderate use. It's a one-button mechanical switch with a rubberized coating that "clicks" in when you press it to turn it on, and pops out when you press it to turn it off. It does feel pretty flimsy. To hopefully make mine last longer, I turned mine on once and only once, and then hooked it up to an outdoor rated smart plug. It's way cooler and easier to ask Alexa to turn on the pool light than it is to have to walk down to where the filter and skimmer are to press the little button. Hopefully without having to actually press the button, the whole light will last longer.2) This is most important: When you close your pool, you'll need a special Pentair winterizing plug designed specifically for this light. THE PLUG IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE LIGHT. If you don't purchase the plug when you buy the light, you'll end up like me - ready to close the pool on a Sunday September afternoon but not able to do so because I don't have the stupid plug. It's not a threaded cap like my old "eyeball" jet plug, this required thing is more like a long rubber stopper. It's criminal that this plug isn't included... and the exact plug can only be ordered through an online pool supply store ($12.99 plus shipping). Amazon doesn't sell it. Your local pool store doesn't carry it unless they sell the Aqualuminator light. Hunt down this plug as soon as you buy the light, so you won't end up like me - looking through the box wondering where the stupid plug is. It's not there.

Very happy with my purchase of the Pentair pool light really is very beneficial happening this late at night or you can see all swimming in your pool in the evening. Read to have thank you so much.

Used this on my 30 ft round pool. Barely lights up the pool. Install was easy, brightness is disappointing

Best light on the market for above ground pools; a little costly but worth the price. Only suggestion I would make to allow for easy installation when pool is at normal levels is that they include plugs to prevent water flow while installing the unit. I bought this one as a replacement and was able to install with help from the wife without too much mess (loss of water) but would have been much easier with two 2" plugs. I had one that I purchased for purpose of shutting down the pool for winter but you need two if replacing an old unit.

Package arrived with box covered in dust from what appears to be sitting on shelf for years. The entire unit was installed and pool was filled up before plugging transformer up. Light doesn’t illuminate. Tested transformer with multimeter and it’s working. Tested light bulb with multimeter and it’s bad. Contacted seller and they said I have to contact manufacturer for troubleshooting. All I ask seller is to honor what product they sell and send me a new bulb. Instead they brushed me off to manufacturer.

Product was exactly as advertised. Fast shipping and allowed me to get the pool open quickly.

This replacement product was exactly as advertised and posed no installation problem at all. Thumbs up.

Second season 2 days into season it stopped working. I opened juction box to find water and transformer not working
